Well, I feel completely foolish about all of this, now, which is why I am reporting this so that others do not have to have the same gut wrenching and costly experience I had.

I was planning my wedding (for the first time and late in life for weddings) and found several sites on line that would make a wedding dress for much less than you would pay at a bridal salon or from a designer boutique. Well after investigating many of these sites I decided to use one that was located in the United States and went with these folks. MrsMoran Bridal Boutique. The sad thing for me is that I take people for their word and still have faith that folks are generally honest and forthright and this is just not the case anymore. At least it isn't with these folks.

Well after making many phone calls to the Better Business Bureau and Consumer protection agencies and found no negative reporting I decided to go with them. I also spoke to two other of their customers about their experience, which they claim was good, but now I’m wondering whether these folks work for them. Mrs.Moran’s stipulation was that I had to send my money first and so I did. $370 that I really couldn't afford but I wanted to feel beautiful on my wedding day.

To make a very long and frustrating story short I got the dress 10 days before the wedding and when I saw it, it wasn't anything like the instructions I gave them. They sent me a photo a few weeks earlier and tried to convince me that it was beautiful and I disagreed and insisted that the make the dress as I specified. They said that the photo was bad but nearly 30% of the detail was missing and the workmanship was shoddy and all that being said it DIDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE TO FITTING and I had someone who has been making their own clothes for 30 years take my measurements, twice. I also took my measurements again after the dress came to be sure and two of the measurements were even smaller and the dress still made me look like a stuffed sausage. Between the two of us we could BARELY get it zipped and then I couldn't move for fear it would rip. I tried to bend over in it and lost my balance. I couldn't even begin to try and sit down. And, even though they kept the dress for two weeks after I insisted that they finish the detail work they never completed it. They had no intention to.

I was mortified to say the least because now I had ten days before my wedding and the dress of my dreams is a disaster, AND they refuse to send me my money back even after I returned the dress to them, so now I have no money. They say that they do not return money in order to protect others from not getting a dress they did not order. What other women would end up with is their (Mrs.Moran’s) mistakes, like my dress! I returned the dress to them to get my money back (a futile effort) and now adding insult to injury, they then returned the dress back to me and had the nerve to charge it back to me as a "Return to sender" with that money coming out of my checking account. Thank God for FedEx as they immediately issued a credit to my checking account and returned my money. At least some folks are still honest. Thank you FedEx!! Now I was left to wear a party dress from 10 years ago. A nice dress but not the dress of my dreams. You see, at this late stage of the game, so to speak, I was pushing the envelope for getting married in a real wedding gown and, for certain, will never have this chance again because, even if for some reason I was to remarry I could not pull of wearing a formal wedding dress and wouldn’t want to.

So, I want others to be aware of these people and by no means trust them as they will take your money and no matter how horrible a job they do you will be stuck with the goods and they will have your money.
