LA Weight Loss Centers Out of business and clients out of luck Fayetteville Arkansas

I signed up @ LA Weight Loss center in Fayetteville, AR. in Jan 2007 and was really doing well on the program and having great success. LA Centers require you to pay for the entire contract up front which I did. Paid for 30 weeks of weight loss, 8 weeks of stabilization, and 52 weeks of maintenance.....I was not quiet to my goal at the end of my 30 weeks weight loss, so in August I purchased additional 10 weeks (minimum required by LA).....My center closed in October 2007. (which would have been approximatley 36 weeks out of 108 weeks of contract)

I have called, called, and called LA Centers (every # possible), and have gotten nothing. I finally got a call from a lady at the franchise center who gave my info to a center in Tennessee. I spoke w/them once, and the man was so rude and so full of sarcasm I was shocked. He said there was nothing they would do to reimburse my contract price. The only thing the would do is ship product if I had any owed to me. I asked for a copy of my contract and he assured me he had the info and would fax to me within in one business day, that is the last I heard from them. I have called 2-3 times daily and finally got someone on the phone today, and the man gave me yet another run around about did not know where my file is, etc. I have never been treated with such rudeness in my whole life. I am so angry!

I realize I probably will never receive any of my money back, but wanted to put this complaint out so other people will be aware.

The man did tell me that all centers are closing, so if you are owed product I would suggest you get what you can while you can.
