Last Wednesday (November 11th, 2009), I made a purchase of Phentermine from the website PhentermineUSDirect.com. I agreed to pay $98.85 (after shipping and some random fee) for a 30 day supply of the pills and printed my receipt.
This morning, I anxiously checked my email to see if my order had shipped, which it hadn't and my account to see if it had been charged (it was still pending) and had a nice surprise waiting for me: my charge was now up to $128.85.. nice.
I called the number on the order email (at 8:30, for the record); he said that my order had not been processed yet, but that since I didn't provide all the information for my doctor that they needed, that I was being charged a fee for the pills I ordered AND my order would be substituted with PhentREAmine.
I go searching for these new pills online and found myself on this site, not surprisingly, other people have had the same problems, and I saw that some people had received other random charges.
Immediately, I called up my card company and let them know that I was being charged for something that I did not want. I realized that if i had skimmed over the agreement to pay the extra fee for some crappy substitute, that was my fault, but I wanted to make sure that I didn't get charged ANYTHING else. Luckily, the account manager was very helpful, told me to call back once my account was actually charge and they could file a dispute against the company. She also recommended trying to get the order cancelled again.
I called the company again (at 8:54), only to be told that my order had indeed been processed (wow, since the last time I called.. which was 25 minutes ago!?!) and that it could not be cancelled. Asked to talk to the manager (sounded suspiciously like the first guy I talked to), he repeated that there was nothing they could do and that I agreed to it. I told him that I knew it was a scam and that I was not going to pay more money than I agreed to for a FAKE product!! At this point, he told me that I could refuse delivery when FedEx comes and when the product came back to them, I would be refunded.
I had read on here that someone had been told something similar, but took delivery without FedEx needing a signature, so I decided that I am going to be proactive and decline the shipment as soon as I get the tracking number (representative at FedEx said that would work).
HOPEFULLY, at most I'll end up paying the processing and shipping fee, but I can imagine that it's only going to continue being a hassle from here on out. Please, please, PLEASE do NOT order from this company!! This is a huge hassle and it's only the beginning. Thanks to the rest of the customers that filed complaints.. I hope things have worked out for you!
