vrcosplayx.com kinkvr.com Billed me for a different website than the one I signed up to

I signed up to an adult website call kinkvr.com on a $1 trial. I cancelled the same day. It would seem I was opted-in to a website called vrcosplayx.com at the time of giving my payment information. Underneath the very small opt-out button beneath the payment details it says “Special offer: A 3-day trial for $1.00 to vrcosplayx.com (renews automatically at $19.95 monthly unless cancelled)”.

It makes no mention anywhere on this sign-up page or on the front page of having to unsubscribe twice to two different websites. I unsubscribed later that day to kinkvr.com, the website I had paid for membership of and was logged into, and was billed for vrcosplayx.com a few days later having no idea they were separate sites with separate logins. I was ever asked to create a login for vrcosplayx.com. Apparently my payment and login details were duplicated for this second website without my clear consent.

I had no interest in vrcosplayx.com, I never knowingly submitted my payment details to them and I never created an account with them. I never used the site and on discovering I was being billed for it I was refused a refund. Due to the adult nature of the site, these companies easily prey on consumer’s shame in complaining. It is also unclear to me what the “100% money back guarantee” logo emblazoned before the payment screen pertains to.

Furthermore, the offer promises mobile streaming and 1 free download but in fact once payment is received that changes to 1 streaming and 1 download.
