We took our truck to Chevrolet dealer for repair of leaking winshield washer bottle. We ended up having to replace winshield washer bottle, pump, and lines. We were told the positive terminal on the battery had been leaking and caused the damage. Dealer indicated this was not uncommon in vehicles bought with AC Delco batteries in them.

If this is a common problem, as indicated by the dealer and other reports on this website, AC Delco needs to fix the problem and/or they should not be put in new automobiles.

AC Delco I have a 2002 GMC Pickup truck 4x4. I was stocked with the Acdelco battery. After 3.5 years the battery failed. Bad cell they said. I had it replaced with a similar battery from Ac delco for $125.00 including service. This new battery failed 16 months later. It went dead and would not take a charge. Once again replacing the second one too! This is now my third battery in 5 years and 2 months. Big Rapids Michigan
