ACE Incorporation Legal action of unpaid online that I already paid off!!!! Internet

I've received emails directly to my spam regarding an unpaid online loan, that I've since resolved over six years ago.

Now I'm being threatened with legal action, told to purchase a prepaid debit card to pay off a settlement amount.

The email has my full SSN but the former address I lived at doesn't have the building number, only the street address, apartment, city, state and zipcode which I found to be very strange.

When I expressed concern and said that my previous payment was done via phone, I was then told that I can make this settlement payment online and cannot do it by phone because there is no record of me paying this debt in full.

I no longer have these records and shredded them after having them for over a year so now out of the blue to receive this message raises concerns on the legitimacy of this email.

I'm tired of getting these messages!
