 I received on official looking collections notice from AFNI, Inc. regarding an alleged balance owing to AT&T in the amount of $91.98.  Well aren't they gracious... offering me a settlement in the amount of $36.79.  How nice of them to offer me a settlement for a debt I don't owe, for an account I never had. 

I called AT&T just to confirm that there was no debt owing.  They confirmed that I do not owe them anything and then tried to sell me wireless service.  I guess I can't fault AT&T for trying to make a sale... However, this fraudulent collections notice from AFNI is very concerning.  How many other "collection agencies" are doing this?  I have not contacted AFNI directly as I don't see the point.
