Now, heres a good one for folks. Chase Bank, Amazon Visa notified me on Monday that they were changing my interest rate from 13.99% fixed to 19.34 % variable on current and future balances.
Note: I have -0- balance on the card.
Reason: To improve profitability on your account.
Question: If Chase wants a customer with a 750+ credit rating to use their card, why would they raise the interest rate on an account with no balance when a lower rate, might actually encourage use of the card?
Tuesday, I receive a set of bonus checks in the mail from Chase Bank, Amazon Visa offering me 0% interest on balance transfers for an entire year.
Am I missing something here? No wonder these banks are failing, there is no one rational in charge!

I fail to see how this is a rip-off by any means. Yea, bad practice maybe, but if you dont owe any money and arent losing any money, why sweat it? Yet, it is pretty funny that they would jack your rates and then send you blank checks to use.....
