American Express And NCO Financial Systems Inc. They want me to pay $230 for unstated charges made on a card I do not have. Horsham Pennsylvania

I received a letter from NCO Finanial Systems Inc informing me that American Express has handed over a delinquent bill for collection. NCO requests I pay the outstanding $230 to avoid further action.

I have had an American Express card in the past but never used it and have not had an active card for well over a year.

I received one notice from American Express concerning payment of $230 a month ago but this notice did not state what was purchased, when or where. I paid no attention to this bill for the reasons stated in the prior paragraph.

I get notice from NCO this past week however the letter is dated February 1st. When I attempt to contact them on-line to explain the situation I get nowhere as the site will not let me register to state my case.

When I checked out NCO on the internet I was surprised to find the exact same letter written to someone else with a different dollar amount but the wording was exactly the same.

I don't need my good credit ruined over this. I work in the Indian Ocean on the island of Mauritius which makes contacting anyone extremely difficult. I've been here for three years and have never used my American Express card in fact it expired long ago.
