Applegate Securities, Inc. Shattering trust Norwood Maine

We received this scam letter at a time in our lives where we are in a financial crisis. We have lost our company due to the economy, no job with bills piling up. When the $4,995 check came in the mail we were thinking our troubles were over. The first thing I thought about was paying off my debts to get a clean start and now having a way to visit my aging father who lives in Puerto Rico. I was thinking finally something positive has happened among all this misery only to find out that this was a big hoax by some sleazy scum bag that preys on the truely gullible.

I first checked the web doing a google search for Applegate Securities. This took me directly to ripoff report. When I saw the same claim number WA/SDH-0101 with the same winning number, same contact name, same instructions and a real check my heart simply sank. I'm sure the people that pull these scams will eventually pay but it makes me sick to think that they will most likely live quite well off the hard work of others until that time. I hope anyone who receives one of these letters will have the common sense not to send their money to these thieves.
