Do NOT go to Ashton Medical Associates in Charleston, West Virginia.
TWICE they have charged me for TWO office visits when I only went in for ONE.
My ANNUAL PHYSICAL was CHARGED for (ONE Visit, o.k.) THEN I see they BILLED my PRIMARY Insurance PLUS Medicare For a SECOND Office Visit (Which I NEVER HAD), got PAID & Are BILLING ME for the AMOUNT Not Paid By Insurance & Medicare.

- I Called CIGNA & THEY ANSWERED My Insurance Company

"Dr. Manuel Franco discussed her Migraines, Thyroid Issues and Cholesterol with her so we ALSO GOT TO BILL FOR A "SICK" Office Visit During her Annual WELL Office Visit for That Reason"

Well...DR MANUEL FRANCO DID N-O-T "DISCUSS" A-N-Y OF MY CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS WITH ME DURING MY "ANNUAL WELL OFFICE VISIT" He just had his staff re-order the SAME medications that I had BEEN on!

Apparently it is LEGAL to do the above but so UNETHICAL, that, in over 21 YEARS as a NURSE, I Have NEVER heard of a Physicians Office Charging for TWO Office Visits because they were able to trump up ANY EXCUSE TO DOUBLE DIP!
Furthermore, if I had HAD TWO Office visits, my co-pay would have been $20 for that SECOND Nonexistent Visit, NOT The $59 Which My TWO Insurance Carriers Didn't Pay.

Ashton Medical Center in Charleston, WV, is Dishonest. Save yourself some grief. Do not deal with these people, either as an Urgent Care nor as your Primary Providers.
