I attended an event with my friend in 2005 at the LA Convention Center that focused on real estate investing.  He convinced me to sign up for Russ Whitney's 3 day course on real estate.  I was interested in real estate at the time and signed up - the cost roughly at $1000 for 3 days.  There was a promotion so the $1000 covered 2 people.

The seminars were held at the Sheraton Hotel near LAX.

We were fresh out of college and didn't know any better (I wish I had known about RipoffReport at the time).  We received CDs and books on real estate that were useless.  At the time I was not involved in real estate and thought the real estate forms would be useful.  Now that I am a real estate broker I see how elementary the forms are.  The purchase agreements are grossly oversimplified and don't have the kind of language that required to make them adequate for ANY transaction.

Although Russ Whitney spoke at the LA Convention Center, it was his acne laden son who led the actual seminar, along with another man whose name I forget.  We went over mobile home sales and flipping property. However, their information was incorrect, especially about the mobile homes.  They misled anyone who attended those seminars, hoping to learn about real estate.

The entire third day of the seminar was basically spent pitching more seminars.  I paid to have them pitch ads at me to spend more money on them?!  It was ridiculous.  I would like to get my money back somehow through some class action lawsuit.  I can't believe I let myself get duped into buying into this scam. All the posers and employees who support this company are just as crooked as Russ Whitney himself.
