I purchased Webroot Spysweeper with Antivirus at a Circuit City store today. Upon installation, it said my subscription was expired. I thought it was from a previous version of the software we had before, but it was in fact this "new" software that was expired. After calling Webroot, I found that numerous people had called with this same complaint.
Circuit City is ripping people off to make a quick buck before they close. It's your own stupid faults for digging yourselves in so deep in debt, not ours. Trying to make the consumer pay for what you did wrong is inexcusable and morally unjust.
I'm going back and demanding a full refund. This is completely unacceptable.

If you bought the cd and it was not band new, then that is the risk you take. Im guessing you probably never got your full refund if you asked for it during the liquidation sale.
Now if the cd was in a sealed box, and during installation it said that you need to pay more for an extended time, then you either did something wrong during installing it or there was a glitch on behalf of the item's company (not cc). CC does not make software...they just sell them
