Columbia House DVD Club Unauthorized Charges Appeared A Year After Membership Cancellation New York New York

I fulfilled my DVD Columbia House contract in that I purchased the necessary DVD's. I cancelled my membership last year. However, Columbia did not honor my request to cancel the membership and preferred to simply let my membership log in information remain on their site including my credit card number. Approximately 7 months after I cancelled the membership, I discovered Columbia has been charging my credit card monthly for two months now, for around $25.00.

I wouldn't recommend anyone using Columbia House that takes your credit card hostage while refusing to end your membership. Columbia will lead you to believe your membership obligations are met, and then wait for a period of time before they begin unlawfully debiting your credit card hoping you won't notice the charges.

When I initially ended my membership I didn't believe it would be easy, and I was right. These people are thieves at Columbia House and they try to steal from people's credit cards all the time.
