I went to pump gas into my truck, and i thought i was gitting a deal on the price of gas, until i notice i had pumped 21 gallons of gas into my tank that only takes 19 gallons max, the pump stoped on 21 gallons, but would have keeped going if i had left more of a prepaid fillup, i went in and asked the lerk for a recite, and how did i get 21 gollons into a 19 gallon tank, clerk just said that the pumps were just recalibrated, unless i am mistaking on having a 19 gallon tank, this a red handed rip off, i have never even come close to a 19 gallon fillup, the closest is a 18.4 gallons fillup, and thats almost running out of gas. I think they got me for about 7 or 8 bucks, i was trying to save 10 cents per gallon, some deal...

Weights and measures

If you believe that you have been ripped off by a malfunctioning gas pump, you need to contact the state's department of weights and measures. Look at the gas pump at this station and there should be a sticker noting when the last inspection was. It should have contact information also. They can come out and test the pump to make sure it is accurate. also, vehicles can hold more gasoline than what is listed in the manual. From "topping off" the fuel line. My car has a 14 gallon tank, but when its nearly dry I can get about 15.5 gallons in it. I would suspect that your truck was very low on gas and this is what occured.
