I am outraged by Trott's attempt to request for me to pay $11,000 for less than 4 hours of counselling services to determine "best interest of my daughter" as it relates to the psychological parenting request made by my husband.  Trott was hired to be an impartial expert to help determine if there was a phychological parenting relationship between my husband that served the best interest of my 11 year old daughter.  My husband was not the biological father and has a record of assault, diagnosed with bipolar with angry mood swings and self-reported that he had an "obsessive interest in my daughter".

Putting my husband's disorder on the side,I am outraged that Trott would submit a bill for 43 hours of expert work when he spend less than 4 hours in counselling sessions!!

I am further dismayed that my husband's lawyer had 43 ex-parte email communications with Trott!  Surprisingly, Trott left out of his billing the phone conversations with this lawyer?  Trott should be forced to turn over the emails sent by the lawyer to the Judge and the Arbitration panel for review.  It is unethical for a "neutral" expert to be having so close a relationship with one side.  Trott should reveal how many phone calls he has had with my husband and his attorney.  Trott in his final report even indicated that he took time to help my husband become more settled and then walked him to his car.  He said proceedings had become relatively unpredictable so he desired to make certain that his client would be allowed to leave his office in a peaceful manner.  This expert is supposed to be not biased but he indicated my husband as his client when he was supposed to be "neutral".

How was Trott able to submit a Best Interest Report to the Court without even meeting my daughter and myself yet?  I question his ethics and objectivity!

Did my husband's lawyer direct Trott as to what to say in this Best Interest Report?  Does an inappropriate relationship exist between Trott and the lawyer?  Why would the lawyer write 16 pages to support keeping Trott when I indicated he was not an objective expert.  The lawyer has significant interest in keeping Trott!!  Why?  I would like Trott to report all phone conversations and face to face meetings with the lawyer over the last 4 months.

The last counselling session with Trott was Friday May 16 with my daughter and my husband.  It ended with this so called expert almost yelling at my daughter saying he heard enought (directed at my daughter multiple times in the outer office).  Trott has had a history of creating a hostile relationship with me in person (witnesses available) and over the phone.

Why would Trott wait 6 weeks after May 16 final counselling session (which lasted under 20 minutes) to send a scandalous bill?  I content that this bill was orchestrated with approval and collusion with the lawyer.  Both the lawyer and Trott knew i was going overseas to visit family.  This bill for $11,000 for less than 4 hours of counselling services was deliberately timed to create a court confrontation and done knowlingly that I was going out of the country and cannot dispute it.  The timing and billing issue was planned by Trott and the lawyer.  As further evidence of how inappropriate Trott's billing was, I can point to the court appointed GAL that had the same amount of work and billed only $2,500.

Let me make myself perfectly clear, Trott is biased, under the control of the lawyer, has created a hostile environment for my daughter and I and  has submitted a bill for services that is beyond inappropriate.  LESS THAN 4 HOURS OF COUNSELLING SERVICES BY TROTT AND BILLED FOR $11,000.  A phychological "neutral" expert should not be told what to say, have regular and constant conversations with my husband and told what to bill by his lawyer.

Trott even send a letter to the Judge stating that it was my "pathology" that was responsible for not being able to see the appropriateness of his billing.  The total exact time that I sat and meet with Trott is 1 hour and 10 minutes. 

I am seeking a sizable refund from Troff of the retainer.  I have serious concern about how Trott practices psychology and question his role as a best interest objective expert for the welfare of a child.  He should be santioned for his action and misrepresentations.  How many children has he counselled to be called a child expert.  He even waited 6 weeks pending my husband and my mediation where my husband suggested that I pay him an addtional $60,000 if he were to drop his visitation right!  When I refused to take the offer, the scandalous Trott, my husband and his lawyer suggested that they billed me with a scandalous bill.  If my husband cared for my daughter, he would have fight to the end to get visitation right but instead, he offered to drop the case if I pay him an additional $60,000 as settlement!!  Is there any justice!!  Where is Trott's justice!  Are all the professionals out prying like wolf in sheepskin ready to reaped woman like me off during our most trying times!!  All they want to do is fatten their pocket not for the Best Interest of my Daughter!!  If there is any real good Samaritan out there who would like to help me, please feel free to contact me.  Really need help to get my money back!!!
