I ordered an item from Fingerhut 0n 11/29/2010 at 11p.m and canceled the order the very next day, within 15 hours and the product was shipped to me anyways and to return the item it will cost me $65+. I should not have to pay for return shipping of an item that I canceled 4 days before it was shipped. I requested a return shipment label and they refused. Now I am stuck to pay $65 for an item I did not want because it didn't come with all the parts I needed. Now I am out of $65 dollars with nothing in return.

As you all may know, I ordered a bed from Fingerhut and had canceled my order because a customer service rep told me that the bed did not come with a king sized headboard, so I canceled. The bed was shipped to me and I was advised that I would have to pay to have the item shipped back( after i had canceled) . However; I had decided to open the box and inside the box was a king sized headboard. I have decided to keep the bed. I am feeling better.

I called and canceled the item on November 30, 2010; the item was not processed or shipped until after November 30, 2010, when I called on the 11/30/2010 to cancel the order; it should have been canceled. I didn't read anywhere on there website or in their book that if you call to cancel an order it's not possible for you to do so. I have never heard of this. Not being able to cancel an order that has not yet shipped.
There is a tracking system on the Fingerhut website, and I checked to see if the item was shipped when I called and the item had not been shipped, I checked two days after the first time I checked and it had not been shipped. I received an e-mail on December 3, 2010 that says your item is going to be shipped.
I checked someone's post on the Ripoff Report that was speaking on their experience with Fingerhut and they suggested that the person that posted the message request a shipping label, I tried requesting a shipping label and they said that they only authorize shipping labels if the item is broken. My guess is that if I opened the box they will tell me that they can't except the bed back because the box is open.

In looking at the dates your timeline does not make sense. Your original claim was that it was shipped 4 days after you cancelled it. Unless you paid for expedited shipping, that is really impossible if you received it on December 6th. Because 4 days after would have put it on that Friday and you would have had to have next day shipping. On an item such as a bed that would probably have cost more than the bed itself.
Since this was FedEx there should be a tracking number that you can check the FedEx site to see when it was shipped. My guess is that you will find it was probably shipped on 11/30 and by the time you had called it was already shipped out, or it was already in the "pipeline" to be shipped and couldn't be cancelled.
Now, that does not explain why Fingerhut would not just tell you that. But that is another matter.

Fingerhut, as a company, is older than dirt. Thats assuming theyre the same Fingerhut from back in the 50s. In the early 50s and later, I can remember my father and many others ordering the Fingerhut clear plastic seat covers. Probably one car in 10 had a set. That was when car upholstery was destined to wear out in a year or so. Interestingly, very few cars had air conditioning back then. I have some not-so-fond memories of sticking to their sweaty, hot smooth clear plastic seat covers. I can even remember a couple of genuine leather interiors protected with the Fingerhut covers. In the 60s they graduated to a lumpy, bumpy surface, supposedly to allow air circulation. Didnt work. Ahhhhh memories!

I ordered a king size platform bed, the bed does not come with a headboard for the king, but the headboard does however; come with the twin and the queen platform bed. I placed the order on 11/29/2010 (cyber Monday) 11:00 p.m and called the next day to verify if the king size bed comes with a headboard. I was told that the King size bed only comes with the platform and not the headboard so I canceled the order during this call, 11/30/2010 between the times of 11:00a.m and 2:00p.m (within a 24 hour timeframe I placed this call) the item had not shipped yet.
I was told to wait 2 days for my credit to appear, I waited 2 days and my credit had not appeared. I called back to see where my credit was and explained to her that I had canceled the order two days earlier, then she proceeded to cancel the item again. December 6, 2010 comes and I get a knock at the door. (Fed Ex) I told Fed Ex that I canceled this order and he advised me to call the manufactor. I called Fingerhut back to request a return label and they said there was nothing that they could do after I explained to them that I canceled the order before it had been shipped out.
I must pay $65 to return this item that should have never been shipped because I canceled the item on 11/30/2010, and I had canceled the item before it had been processed and shipped. Does this clarify?

I ordered a king sized platform bed, the bed did not come with the headboard for the king size it only comes in queen or twin. I ordered the bed on cyber Monday at 11:00pm and called the next day to verify if the bed comes with the headboard and was told that there is no headboard for the king size so I told him to cancel my order because I want a headboard on my bed and not just the platform.
I was told ok look for a credit to my account in 2 days. I looked for the credit 2 days later and there was non, I checked to see the status of the order to see if it had been shipped and it had not been shipped. When I saw that I didn't get credited, I called back and asked where is my credit because I canceled this order 2 days ago, I was told she will try to cancel it again. Dec. 6 2010 the bed arrives at my door. I told Fed ex that I canceled this order and they told me to contact the manufactor, I contacted fingerhut again to ask for a return shipment label and was told there was nothing they could do.
So to sum it all in a nut shell ordered on 11/29/2010, canceled 11/30/2010, recieved December 6, 2010. I canceled the bed between I believe 11:00 am - 2:00pm within 24 hours and before the item was shipped.

You say you ordered an item and you canceled it the very next day. So what time did you cancel it?
You then seem to say it was shipped within 15 hours, but then you say you canceled it 4 days before it was shipped. So exactly when was it shipped?
You say you canceled it because it didn't contain all of the parts you needed? So you were buying something to use it for parts only?
What exactly did you purchase that it was going to cost you $65+ to ship it back?
