If you live in Houston and are saying you have done business with IIS in Houston I can say without a doubt you are lying because I know for a fact IIS does business ONLY in the Pittsburgh metro area.  Lee has many many friends and is very well connected and honestly is a decent human being.  His greatest fault is selecting the absolute most incompetent of his subordinates for the most important positions.  In other words he succumbs easily to yes-men and maintains his contracts solely through the strength of his personal connections. 

IIS hq is listed as Mr. Lees residence but the business is actually run out of Duquesne Light corporate security offices to the extent that DLCo phone lines are used by IIS telemarketers.  In fact, ALL of IIS business is conducted out of DLCo offices. 

Does this constitute a rip-off in its self?  Not necessarily, unless the consumer wants a real security service and not just untrained and underqualified Duquesne Light contract security personnel pulled off-site and thrown into the customers account with absolutely no training, no operations and procedures manual (general or site-specific), and more likely than not, not enough sleep.  What distinguishes IIS from the rest of the security industry is the depth and richness of the SNORES coming from sleeping guards (the site supervisor himself, FM, works 70+ hours a week, half of which he is asleep at night at some post that a customer is paying good money to have secured.  I'll deal with that later in my own rip-off report of this same company. 

If the business is based out of Lee's house, what does that have to do with their ability to provide a service?  We have used their services several times.  They provide quality professional service.  What's your point?

The name of his business includes the word INTERNATIONAL.

Having a computer means that he has international access to internet sites all over the world.

SO WHAT?

The guys is apparently running his business out of his home and taking an income tax write-off for having a home office and he is not being gouged for rent by these commercial property people...

GOOD IDEA.

Why don't you check and see IF HE IS LICENSED BY THE PROEPRTY AUTHORITIES FOR HIS STATE TO EVEN HAVE THIS BUSINESS IN THE FIRST PLACE because IF he is NOT properly licensed, then HE has a problem and YOU have a REAL rip-off to report since he is apparently changing fees for services that he is not legally allowed to perform.

Having an office in your home is common practice these days.
