ISLAND NATIONAL GROUP ALSO KNOWN AS RJM ACQUISITIONS LLC, ASSIGNEE OF FINGERHUT/AXSYS NATIONAL BANK HAS BEEN SENDING ME COLLECTIONS STATEMENTS FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW. THESE STATEMENTS CLAIM I OWE THEM $196.69 ON AN ACCOUNT I NEVER OPENED. I HAVE NEVER PURCHASED ANYTHING FROM FINGERHUT LET ALONE OPENED AN ACCOUNT. I HAVE ASKED THE COMPANY TO SEND ME AN ITEMIZED LIST OF PURCHASES AND A COPY OF THE APPLICATION WITH MY SIGNATURE BUT THEY HAVE FAILED TO HONOR MY REQUEST. ISLAND NATIONAL GROUP IS TRYING TO OFFER ME A "DOUBLE CREDIT VALUE OFFER TO CLEAR MY DEBT THAT DOESN'T EXIST. I HAVE NOTIFIED ALL 3 CREDIT BUREAUS AND ASKED THIS DEBT BE REMOVED BECAUSE THEY HAVE FAILED TO COMPLY WITH MY REQUEST BUT THEY CONTINUE TO SEND ME COLLECTION STATEMENTS.

I have dealt with both of them. Island National Group was the collection agency working the account for RJM. RJM actually purchased the account from Fingerhut and sent it out to Island National to collect on.
