Larry Hoffman The Chair Company; Chairs & Tables Direct; Global Event Supply; 1ALLCHAIRS; Seats R Us Takes Money and Does Not Deliver!!! Culver City California

On September 19th I contacted "The Chair Company" dba, Chairs and Tables Direct; aka, 1ALLCHAIRS; aka 1Stackable Chairs; aka, Global Event Supply. I advised him that it was absolutely crucial that the chairs be delivered NOT LATER THAN OCTOBER 6TH. After being promised a speedy delivery, I placed an order with Larry Hoffman for 104 chairs. Upon paying the sum of $2334.00 on September 25th, Mr. Hoffman advised that he would contact me the following day with the shipping tracking number.  

When I did not hear from Mr. Hoffman, for several days, I left a message advising him that I needed the chairs ASAP, as my new business (a theatrical venue) was opening on October 7th. On October 6th, Mr. Hoffman again promised the delivery would be made by 1pm the next day.

On Wednesday the 7th, Mr. Hoffman informed me that "there was an issue with the chairs" and that they would be delivered on Friday. Apparently the chairs were in "another warehouse" and they were not able to get them out and loaded onto the truck in time. He offered to pay for chair rental until the chairs arrived on Friday. I put him in touch with a local rental company, and rental chairs were in place for opening night.

But then the chairs I had purchase were still not delivered on Friday. I made several attempts to call Mr. Hoffman. When I FINALLY managed to get him on the phone he said that the chairs had not left Los Angeles, and would not be at my venue until the following Monday Oct. 12th. I asked him if he would continue to pay for a rental. He said yes, but only after trying to talk me into accepting a refund. I explained to him that because he had failed to make delivery on time in the first place, I was now stuck with him until the chairs I paid for arrived. He agreed it was only fair to continue to pay for the rental.

Monday the 12th came and went. No chairs. Mr. Hoffman then said the chairs would be delivered no later than 1pm Wednesday Oct 14th. This day came and went... no chairs.

Now Mr. Hoffman is refusing to pay for the continued rental of the chairs, and is in fact trying to force me to pay for the ENTIRE rental of the chairs, while still waiting for the chairs I BOUGHT and PAID FOR to be delivered.

I continue to attempt to get him on the phone, but he has avoided every single call. The only time I have successfully managed to get him to answer is when I called from a number he did not recognize. HE SCREENS AND AVOIDS YOUR CALL. 

At this point, I am faced with a mounting rental invoice and still no chairs. If I do not get a satisfactory response from Mr. Hoffman in the next 24 hours, my only choice will be to contact my lawyer and my bank. Based on previous reviews on this site, it is clear that even his offers of refund are FALSE.
