My stay at the Quality Inn was a nightmare. The clue should have been when I found my door open upon returning to my room. House keeping left it open, problem for thieves to come in. Later after finding my door open, a maid supervisor entered my room without knocking, and when challenged by myself, states she was checking to see if the room had been cleaned. Bull no place opens your door with a master key when a guest is in the room. I believe she was casing the place to steal computers and anything else they could. I guess that's why they have a sign in the front lobby stating they are not reponsible for stolen items.

My job depends on being able to use the Internet and filing reports to my Corporation. When I stopped in Winnie Texas, I was assured (first lie) that the Internet Access was great. The first night it would work a little then go down, the second day it would not work at all.

When I reported this to the front desk, the only excuse they could give me was, " well everyone else is using it", then had a tech call me to see what the problem was. To make a long story longer, it never worked.

This is when it gets bad. I told the front desk, I was going to leave and wanted my money back for the same day, since I was not able to do my work for the whole day, and they could not solve the problem. They were rude in telling me I would not get my money back, and offered very little support to solve the problem.

They refused to give my money back. That was the end of the rope for me. I called the Sheriff's Department of Chambers County and told them I would be protesting on public property with a sign that talked about the poor service. I was told by the Sheriff's Department I could not without written permission from some judge or I would be arrested. So much for 1st Amendment rights in Chambers County.

If you want any service from a motel, DO NOT STAY AT ANY QUALITY INN in America. They are all franchises and they don't care what you think. These kind of places should be shut down. I WARN ANYTHING, IF STAYING AT THE QUALITY INN IN WINNIE, TEXAS YOU WILL LOSE.

To report an accurate and full information regarding Anonymous's' report.
Sir, you did not mention that the staff entering your room was a head housekeeper whose job is to make sure your room is cleaned to your satisfaction. Not to steal your computer or any other items. To change your perception, next time when you stay at any hotel and see a housekeeper or maintenance goes in your room don't assume staff is stealing from you. You as a guest expect the best service and when the hotel staff delivers you call them thieves.

Regarding your internet connection, you forgot to point out that when ISP provider's tech called to help get you connected to the internet you hung up on him twice and that he was able to get you connected to the internet. My staff offered you a DSL cable for direct connection you did not want it. Staff also offered you a new room for a better connection again you declined. All you wanted was money back. You also forgot to mention that you stayed all day and wanted money back at 7pm.

The hotel staff and the local Sheriff's Department gave you plenty of options to resolve your problem.

I will be passing this information out to thousands of travel agencies so people are warned about this Quality Inn's poor service and rudeness to customers. Senior Citizens beware, your property will be missing if left in your room.
