Samsung knowingly sells Fax machines that won't work on digital phone lines bullshi**ing buyers Mt. Arlington New Jersey

bought Samsung Fax machine at Office Max that was never able to send or receive faxes.

called Samsung over and over again. their technicians spent hours and hours with me over the phone trying to change different settings. the last time I called the technician told me to submit a test fax after I changed some settings again and to call him back. again, i received the usual "comm error" message. when I called to let them know that it still would not work the answer was "this machine won't work on a digital phone line, nothing what we can do about it because it was not designed for digital phone lines."

I asked for a supervisor and told him that there was no information on the box or in the manual and asked him to exchange this machine for one that would work on a digital line. he told me "no, we won't do that because there is nothing wrong with this machine. it will work fine on an analog phone line"

my phone company (QWEST) told me "there is nothing wrong with your phone line, now all the switch stations are digital, there are no more analog phone lines anymore"

I feel that Samsung cheated me and bullshitted me each time when I called them. They knew that this machine would not work on digital phone lines and knowingly sold this product without this essential information. if they had given this information to me the first time when I called I could have returned it to the store but now it is too late for a return. obviously that was also their strategy- not telling the truth until its too late for a return and until the customer is stuck with a product that would not fit its purpose from the beginning.
