Shopper's Hotline Elite TRYING TO RIP ME OFF FOR $270.00 Schaumburg Illinois

I received an advertisement in the mail a couple of years ago for Shopper's Hotline and thought this would be a great idea on how to make money just for scanning in the bar codes on the products that we buy most of the time anyway so I sent away for the product.

Once I got it in the mail and tried it the dumb thing did not work correctly so I contacted the company on a couple of occassions and they told me what to do to try and make it perform the way it was meant to. Well after several attempts I became frustrated and finally sent the product back to the company.

Now some two (2) years later I am receiving dunning letters threatening collection of some $270.00 for a product that is not in my possession and was sent back to the company.

I am fed up with companies such as this one where you try and do the right thing and then low and behold some time later they try to come back at you for product that was already sent back.

Someone needs to check into their records more carefully before having some collection agency sending letters that state "Unfortunately we have yet to receive the return of the scankey or payment in full for same. I trust this failure to respond is an indication that you fail to comprehend the gravity of the situation. We will assume that the resolution of this matter will take a more adversarial approach on your part."

What more do they want me to do? I sent the stupid scan key set back to them because it didn't work in the first place and do not have it in my possession.

Something needs to be done about this company.

CHECK YOUR RECORDS BEFORE SENDING OUT SUCH LETTERS TO PEOPLE.
