In July 2014 I purchased 2 membership passes online. I went to the park in Jackson, NJ to have my passes printed.

The employee informed me that he could not locate my purchase in the system and that the transaction must not have gone through. I called my bank and they said that if it did not go through as I was told, the funds should be returned to me the next day - there was no way for them to verify at that time. It was only about $20 because it was a monthly charge, so at the time it was not a big deal to me.

The employee also stated he could not sell memberships at the park, so he offered me a two-day/weekend pass instead. We purchased two of these for a little under $150. My boyfriend paid cash. We used the two passes and threw them away after that weekend.

Six Flags has been charging me for 2 membership passes ever since July 2014. They will not stop charging me. They also will not do anything about the situation. Obviously if I knew I had membership passes, I would not have given my money to the park employee and I would have continued using my memberships over the past 9 months. I have not been able to use them because I do not have passes and was told that I did not have a membership. It was only when I did my taxes for 2014 that I realized 6 Flags has been stealing my money for almost a year now.

When I brought it to the attention of a park supervisor that their employee stole my money and that they've been charging me for something I don't own, they clearly did not care and won't do anything about it. They want me to produce a receipt from July of 2014. Given that the employee obviously just stole my money, I doubt we were even given a receipt - but even if we were, it obviously would have been destroyed after spending the day at the park.

I want 6 Flags to refund my money. I realize an apology is probably too much to ask (their customer service reps are horrible) but I would appreciate an apology as well.

I have never heard of a company that allows their employees to steal from you, then makes it obvious how much they simply do not care when it's brought to their attention.

Are you a park employee?

Dear Troll,

The key words in your rebuttal were: "I'm guessing." You should really make sure you understand something before you waste your time writing a nasty response.

You should be aware that memberships are purchased online and printed at the park - that's the only way to purchase one. I didn't make any assumptions; I read the instructions on the website and followed them. It's really simple.

I'm told (by Six Flags) that the "weekend passes" the employee handed me were really my memberships. Therefore, my membership was processed exactly the way it should have been, except for when the employee told me the transaction was unsuccessful and I'd have to pay him cash for "weekend passes." Weekend passes are not even offered by Six Flags, so he clearly pocketed my money and informed me my tickets were only good for the weekend. Obviously if I knew that my membership had really been processed, I never would have given the employee money for new passes, I wouldn't have thrown away the "weekend passes" I was given, and I would have used my membership again after that day.

Six Flags is welcome to take me to court. I'd be happy to subpoena the surveillance tapes from that day, which will show the employee taking my cash. In fact, I asked them to look at the tapes for their proof. Given that that would have required actual effort on their part, they refused.

I agree, though - it would really be in everyone's best interest if Six Flags would stop hiring uneducated and unreliable teenagers who (in your words) "basically get minimum wage to sit there." If a park employee doesn't consider minimum wage sufficient compensation for their efforts, stealing from guests is not the appropriate solution.

Based on your horrible grammar, nonsensical rambling, and failure to grasp the simple facts of what happened, I would suggest you seek employment with Six Flags. It seems like you'd be a really great fit for them.

Love,

Princess

A flat out lie...

What YOU are doing is a FLAT OUT LIE!!! YOU were NEVER stolen from. YOU made a purchase and that is all. Im guessing YOU are one of those people who makes EVERYTHING a crime against yourself. So because THEY couldn't do what YOU were supposed to do, then because YOU had to make a purchase for weekend passes YOU CLAIM that you were stolen from. Its unfortunate for YOU that YOU have posted defamation. Both the park AND the employee that YOU have accused of theft have every right to take YOU to court for your online lies. Get over yourself princess. YOU CHOSE to pay for the weekend pass. YOU ASSUMED that since YOU did this online it would be IMMEDIATLY available. YOU POSTED lies online. What are YOU going to do when they DO go after you for DEFAMATION?? Are YOU going to pass the buck and flat out lie and say YOU NEVER WROTE IT?? Probably since people like yourself have ZERO PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY!!! Lets me make this clear for YOU. EVERYTHING you do is logged somehow somewhere. Every email, every search, every nasty post YOU have ever made IS available with the right court documents. So tell us ALL again HOW the employee has "stolen" money from YOU. Oh that's right, YOU CANT!!! Because it didn't happen. YOU made ALL of the choices yourself and ONLY have yourself to blame. Im betting that YOU are one of those people who also ASSUMES that the employee has 100% access to their company systems. BUT THEY DONT!!!! They only get a watered down "SAFE" version to work with as MANY of the employees are teenagers or young adults. Meaning that due to YOUR ignorance, YOU have posted LIES over someone who basically gets minimum wage to sit there and let YOU be abusive. Must be nice to know that YOU are and were the problem and YOU DESERVE any lawsuit they hit YOU with.
