On August 2, 2007, my husband and I signed a Franchisee contract with CleanNet. On August 11 & 18 , 2007 we attended training were we were informed that within 3-5 weeks of completion we would be contacted with out first contract. By September 22, 2007 we had not heard from CleanNet. On September 26, 2007 I CleanNet a letter requesting to termination my contract because services were not provided.
On October 1, 2007 I received a letter from CleanNet stating that I had to wait 120 days before I would be able to cancel or terminate my contract. On December 16, 2007 I wrote another letter informing CleanNet that I wanted to terminate my contract. In accordance to CleanNets owner manual once the Franchisee has submitted a letter in writing wishing to terminate their contract CleanNet has 30days to provide me with a full refund. On Janaury 7, 2007 my husband went to the CleanNet office to return the equipment we received and to find out the status of our refund. He was informed by Ed Lugo, District Sales Manager that we would be receiving our refund within in 10 days.
On January 21, 2008 I called CleanNet and spoke with Vanessa, the account who informed me that she had not received and termination paperwork. I left messages for Ed Lugo and Steve Tessier, Vice President and received not response. It has been 5 months since we signed a contract with CleanNet and we have not received the services they were suppose to provide or our refund.

As a CleanNet franchise owner for just about 7 years I can tell you that you are very lucky if you ever get a refund from this fraud company CleanNet USA. I deal with CleanNet Of New England and they are the absolutely worst company to work for, if there is a way for them to screw a franchise owner out of money they know all the tricks.
Their favorite scam is to make franchise owners sign for constant upgrades so you always have a loan payment with them. This is on top of your franchise initial cost. They provided me with one account when I started, within 4 months of starting my franchise my lone account decided to stop paying their bills and they were not paying their CleanNet service contract.
Of course CleanNet did not tell me anything about this problem until after 3 months they told me 'stop cleaning the account, they have not paid their bill in 3 months, oh and by the way you have to pay back the 3 months we paid you for the work'.
Needless to say I almost went bankrupt right there having to repay over $1600 back to CleanNet. I am sure you must have listened to their sales pitch when you were thinking about buying a CleanNet franchise right? Did they tell you 'the sky's the limit' with what you can make with your franchise? Yeah right, that is complete BS. Also, did they tell you your franchise business is recession proof as companies always need cleaning? Yeah right, got news for you it is NOT recession proof.
Also my wife and I were told we could request new contracts at ANYTIME and we could have a new account the next day after we called. Yeah right, another outright lie. Now for the past 2 years I have been told that CleanNet Of New England does not even market in my area anymore, what a deal right? Oh wait, I was told give CleanNet Of New England $1000 (one thousand dollars) and they will TRY to find a new account for me. If they can't find another account for me in about 4 months I will get my $1000 back, yeah right.
I was NEVER told I would have to purchase accounts when I wanted more work.
My advise to ANYONE who is even thinking about going into the cleaning business, avoid CLEANNET at all cost! Even the founder Mark Salek does absolutely NOTHING to assist a franchise owner. He has no idea how corrupt his master franchise owners truly are.
If anyone is looking to file class action suits against CleanNet please keep me in mind. I have alot of information that would prove useful against this garbage company...
