I prepurchased a hotel reservation at the Hotel Seidenhof in Zurich, Switzerland using a booking agent with the name Algotels. The charge, prepaid to Algotels, was $545 for the one night.
Upon arrival, the hotel recognized the reservation and assigned an inferior room. Upon check out the next day I requested a receipt from the hotel for the stay. The charge, coverted from Swiss Francs, came out to US$380. I was overcharged by US$165.
I have contacted Algotel five (5) times, beginning a few days after the hotel stay in 5-26-2025, to report this problem. Each time I was sent an email promising a response within 48 hours. So far I have received no response and no refund. It is now July 18, 2025 and still no response
