In my opinion and in all my years of renting apartments, Armadillo Properties is the worse company to rent from. The cheap flimsy appliances and even how the apartments are constructed (lack of insulation in the walls, leaving you cold when the weather drops, even though there's a heating system, and able to hear your neighbors music in the next apartment, etc.) is not ideal. However, what's really appalling is when the cheap appliances/materials that make the appliances run, malfunction and Armaillo charges you to fix it.

They might not charge you the first or second time, but you will eventually be charged for the breakdown of things, even when it's clearly not your fault that it's breaking down. Often the man who's repairing the faulty appliances will tell you that it's cheap and not your fault. However, Armadillo will tell you that they don't believe the repairman said that and charge you anyway.

The carpet that's in the apartments is a very light beige color and will therefore get dirty easily. When you move out, you will not only have to pay to get the whole apartment professionally cleaned and carpet professionally cleaned, but they will also charge you for normal wear and tear. So, you will likely not get your security deposit back in addition to paying for all the other costs.

If you go on other sites like yelp.com and bbb.org, you will see the complaints against them. They are not military friendly and take advantage of military families who are constantly moving and don't have time to fight all the trumped-up charges against them. They should really be ashamed of themselves, but it seems their greed takes precedence over everything.
