July 1st had reservation at Comfort inn in Wytheville VA 1-276-228-4488 on arrival was notified the pool was closed. I told the clerk to cancel my reservation. They said was unable to do it had to contact booking.com. Called bookong.com canceled the reservation on time # 3922772461 which was cancelled on time with no charge. Booking.com did not send the information over immediately i was charged for the 3 rooms at 96.31 times 3.

I called booking.com an explained they had charged my account. He said be 7 to 10 days for a refund. July 12th contacted the hotel they said its up to booking to refund the money my account shows hotel received my money. Called booking at 888-350-3958 they was going to ck into it. August 2nd received email that they was sorry I haven't received my refund and would get back to me shortly. Its august 8th still waiting on my refund?

Took over 30 days for a refund from this so called company.

Do not use if you plan to cancel even if they say no charge they will charge your card without any authorization from you!

Dear Linda Baumann,

Thank you for choosing Booking.com. I am writing to you from our Senior Relations Team about your reservation 3922772461 at Comfort Inn Wytheville, check-in on 2021-07-01 and check-out on 2021-07-02. I have received your concern submitted to the Better Business Bureau and sincerely apologize for the delay in receiving your owed refund back. As the property has denied issuing the owed refund of 288.93 USD we will proceed to refund you this amount back on their behalf.

Within the next 7 business days you will receive an email with instructions on how to claim this amount back to a card of your choosing. Note, the email may be received much quicker if it goes to automation but if it does go for a manual review it could take up to the 7 business days. Unfortunately, our payments team has a large backlog for manual reviews. How the refund is processed is determined by the system and out of my control. Once more, I apologize for the delay.

This has truly been a nightmare oh trust me I will never ever use this site again. I should have looked at all the reviews before using. Thanks for you commit I truly appreciate it. I will probably never ever see my money.

Just trying to make other people aware. And your right after I canceled at comfort in went to quality inn and only paid 73 dollars per night. I reserved the room at comfort inn months ago it was 1/2 point to myrtle beach. Thanks again and I trust me I feel very stupid.

 This is laughable! This town in Virginia is NOT some big city metropolis! It’s a truck stop town with a couple of truck stops and motels! Why on earth did you use a third party reservation schlock operation to book a motel when YOU could do that YOURSELF? These schlock operations look for ANY reason to NOT refund your money even when the motel refunds it to them!

These places cater to the inexperienced traveler. Nothing prevented you from calling the motel directly and make your own reservation! ALL OF THESE third party reservation operations are WORTHLESS! Don’t ever, ever do something like this again and waste your money!
