I wanted to provide a little bit of information regarding my reason for writing this report.
Long story short, in April 2012, I flew to Turkey for a cosmetic eye surgery after various consultation via email, under the direction of a company known as Brightocular. With my own research, I have found the company is a subsidiary of Stellar Devices LLC, a New York based company who manufactures these cosmetic silicone implants, and in turn sells them to thepublic via cosmetic surgery directly through the Brightocular website.
Around 4-5 months after the cosmetic operation, I started noticing that I was becoming extremely light sensitive in both eyes, and progressively my eye problems began to get more severe. Due to a lack of financial means, I had to suffer with the eye problems, which were later diagnosed by my current opthamologist as: Iritis--severe inflammation of the iris; highly elevated intraocular pressure, which if left untreated would have led to glaucoma; Vitreous Hemmorage, in which blood leaked into my right eye causing a severe and rapid loss of vision; and of course extreme sensitivity to light which caused me to wear sunglasses at all times even indoors, all a direct result of the implants as stated by my opthamologist. I have recently undergone surgery to remove the lenses and although I'm slowly recovering, my eyes are permanently damaged.
I wanted to share an article with in which another victim's story sounds almost identical to mine as far as the medical complications. I also noticed that the customer relations manager for Brightocular, David Kaiser, in the NY Times article was the same man who had consulted me for the surgery in my emails, which I still have, as well as other documentation of the surgery.
I have provided the article below, as well as the websites for both Stellar
Devices and Brightocular.

Yes, brightocular is not a very well known company at this time, but as time progresses, I have noticed its popularity growing and I feel a duty to at least try to prevent this company from continuing to harm unsuspecting people who wish to undergo a cosmetic alteration.
Rapper T.I.'s wife, Tameka "Tiny" Harris has even undergone this surgery through Brightocular as recent of late 2014 and Ifear its popularity will only grow from this point on as it gains more publicity in the media. Being that I can't prevent this, my goal is to at least make sure that is unbiased publicity, and cases like mine and other victims are no longer hidden in the shadows. It truly does break my heart seeing a company like this flourish after all of the pain I have endured, and I'm sure others have as well.
I fear that unless they are pursued legally, they will continue to flourish, thus harming even more innocent victims.
Thank you for your time, and please research as much as you can before considering this company's procedure.

Brightocular (Stellar Devices LLC): An Important Update
AUTHOR: Cornelius - ()
SUBMITTED: Thursday, January 22, 2015
After speaking various times with their representative, Spence, who came off as a genuinely kind individual, expressed his deep regret for the way things went after my surgery. It was explained to me that I was still in the recovery phase when my symptoms had taken place and I should have been visiting a doctor regularly for check ups, which I admit, I was not. Normal recovery phase for this surgery takes about 3 months, but Spence mentioned that in rare cases, such as mine, he has seen some patients take as long as 6-8 months. Such as the patient in this video below:
Now, one might ask why I ignored my symptoms in the recovery phase and chose not to see a doctor, but this was not entirely possible for me as I was not financially capable of seeing an ophthalmologist at the time, which is why my condition worsened to the point that I needed to have the implants removed.
With all of this in mind, one piece of advice I have is that if you do plan to do the surgery, make sure to follow ALL directions brightocular gives you pertaining to post-surgery recovery and do not put off seeing an eye doctor for check-ups like I did. Make sure you are financially ready and have your priorities in order just in case you might need extra care like I did during the recovery phase. And, if for any reason you encounter any issues post surgery, contact Brightocular because they know how to help you better than anyone.
