 Boxford MA is a small town NE of Boston. There have been MANY legitimate complaints posted against small Town of Boxford white males who harass female residents. Boxford Police Chief James Ritter has engaged in serious + egregious Police misconduct while in his official capacity as a Massachusetts Peace Officer. He targeted a woman who was a long time resident + going through a difficult divorce. This was retaliation against her because was a well respected member of the community + he was personal friends with her estranged husband. ALL previous complaints involving the Town of Boxford Police Department involving WOMEN should be investigated by the USDOJ Office of Civil Rights AND the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of Attorney General Andrea Campbell for SYSTEMIC bias against women + police misconduct. The hard evidence is the false complaints made by Boxford Police Chief James Ritter + his assiciates who truly are discriminatory to women, persons of color, disabled persons, people from a diverse background of ethnicity + race, GLBTQ persons AND Civil Rights advocates. Boxford MA has become an elitist enclave of rich white people who are very hostile to other people they don't like. Lawyers take note = major discrimation happened under this current Board of Selectman including Mary Ann Nay Peter Perkins Charles Costello Al Vaz And former Town Administrator Alan Benson (also owns lucrative local Bensons ice cream take out) James Ritter should be removed from serving in ANY law enforcement capacity in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The POST Commission should permanently decertify him for harassing women under Color of Law. There is NO PLACE in Massachusetts these days for James Ritter as a Police Chief.
