Charles West, Sr. Charles Wesley advertised selling tickets on Craigslist.org for a Washington Nationals Hockey game, then took a payment from me on Zelle and did not send the tickets. Washington DC Washington DC, MD

During October 2019, while traveling in Washington DC, I made what I thought was a legitimate purchase for hockey tickets to see a Washington Nationals Game.  The purchase was made through Zelle and the transaction turned out to be fraudulent, I paid the seller money, but never received the tickets. 

I wanted to make potential buyers aware of this scammer who is advertising on Craigslist.org and perhaps other websites too.   He used the name Charles West, Sr. but the Zelle transaction showed the money going to Charles Wesley. He used the phone number  240-349-6305 and only communicated by text.

When I tried calling the number it was no good.   I initially asked him if I could pay for one ticket to make sure he was legit, and then pay for the remaining tickets, and he said yes, but then added that he would not try and scam someone while using his bank information... so that is how he tricked me into thinking he was authentic.

As it turns out, no bank information was exchanged, only email and phone numbers. I have since filed a claim and my bank is investigating the fraud. Here is the email he used: nutrifit.charles@gmail.com Buyers beware! He will take your money and not provide the tickets!
