I am beyond frustrated with the fact that Christensen Cavaliers in Auburn, California 95603 tried to scam me out of $500. I don’t know what else to do than to share this with others so hopefully people do not send her any money. I found her on AKC while looking for AKC Cavalier King Charles Spaniels.

Jenica Christensen wanted me to give her $500 as friends and family through PayPal before the puppies were born and with no proof from her Vet that her dog was even pregnant! She said she had over 10 people on the list and would be taking 4 deposits per litter. First she told me she had one litter, than when I questioned what would happen to my deposit if she didn’t have 4 puppies, she suddenly told me she really had 2 litters.

I talked to other breeders and they were telling me that this lady is partners with JaLayne Grow in Folsom California from Whitehall Cavaliers who runs a puppy mill and that these ladies take deposits and sometimes don’t even give people their puppies.

No one should be taking $500 deposits as friends and family through paypal since that gives buyers no recourse to get their money back if she doesn’t provide the puppy. The fact that she wanted me to send her $500 with no proof the dog was pregnant was a complete scam. Even if the dog were pregnant, there’s no way she would no color or gender and I’d have no way of getting my money back.

She is referring her remaining puppy customers to JaLayneGrow at Whitehall in Cavaliers in Folsom, California. Every breeder I talked to said Whitehall Cavaliers is a complete puppy mill with hundreds of puppies.

Response to falsehoods in "cali girl’s” review of Christensen Cavaliers

AUTHOR: Jenica - (United States)

POSTED: Friday, November 08, 2019

I have every screenshot of all interaction had with (Brittany Guitterez) "Cali Girl” and all of her claims can be proven completely false via screenshots and all who have adopted puppies from me.

1. Please contact me for screenshots where I clearly state two times that deposits are indeed refundable if the puppy desired isn’t born or if the color you put a deposit for isn’t to your liking.

2. Never once have I declined to refund a deposit to anyone. I have absolutely never taken a deposit from someone without following through with the adoption of a puppy. I don’t do this for the money but for the love of this breed and those who also share in that love. I would never set out to scam anyone and I have many contacts for anyone interested who have adopted from me without any signs of a scam. I have those who adopt come to my house and pick up their new family member. I am happy to provide proof of this.

3. I never told her that I don’t have a vet confirm pregnancy. Screenshots also prove this fact. I allow those who would like to put a deposit down (up to 4 deposit) once pregnancy is confirmed in spring of 2020 since my female has produced 6 puppies her last two litters.

Thus it is reasonable to plan she will have a minimum of four puppies. Never to I ask that a deposit be carried over to a future litter and no one can provide proof of such since I have never done this. Please listen to both sides of each story.

Some seem to be upset for unidentifiable reasons and take it out in the wrong ways by completely lying about their interactions. I have proof and would be pleased to share it with anyone curious. Thank you.
