GREATER TEXAS SIGN COMPANY - GABRIEL NUNEZ Hired Gabriel to help install a sign. Gave him money for supplies and he disappeared!! Bryan TEXAS

In May 2019. I hired Gabriel to install a new face on a sign that I could not reach with my ladder. The ONLY reason for doing this is that I do not own bucket truck that reaches up high.

I hesitated quite a bit on ever using Gabe again due to him costing me lost money and time on other jobs, but I was forced to call him because the other two companies I normally use were both busy and my customer needed his sign up asap. Once again, he let me down for the third and last time. But this time, he flat out ripped me off!!!! 

 After calling him and agreeing to his price, we met at the job site to begin working. Shortly thereafter,  I realized I needed to pick up more materials at the sign supply company to complete this job. I gave Gabriel $200 cash to go pick up the material we needed while I waited inside the store talking with the owner.

After one hour passed, I tried calling him to find out where he was since he should have been back by now. No answer. After two hours, several texts and no answered calls later, it dawned on me the realization of what had happened. He simply took off with my money and never came back. leaving me standing there with the owner and having no explanation to give him.

The owner was so upet at me and for him not coming back to finish the job. We both waited for him for almost three hours.  I had to pay another company to finish the job. total loss: $650 He finally texted me a few days later acting like nothing had happened and had the nerve act like I never gave him money at all.

He actually told me that he has no idea what Im talking about. He said, "What $200?" I have no record of you giving me $200 but I will check my records" ...had to threaten him to get him to respond. Then he says later in a text, that he said he was planning on coming back in a couple days to finish the job. Lol what a joke!!!.

If you dont have any record of me giving you money then why would you come back later to finish the job. he just contradicted himself and didnt even realize it. It's a shame I'm forced to put his name here on this site because I know how it will negatively affect him. But right is right, and wrong is wrong. I tried several times to communicate to him that I will put him on this site if he refuses to pay me back my money and his reponse was that he will sue me.

He recently recieved his Electrical Sign Contractor License in Brazos County, although it's not under HIS name. It's sad that he's willing to jeopordize his name and reputation over such a small amount. But, I GOT RIPPED OFF BY GABRIEL NUNEZ OF GREATER TEXAS SIGN COMPANY....... LIC # 18991 BRAZOS COUNTY.
