Our Axel broke down in sturgeon bay we towed our truck to Dan Lou auto repair , he recommended JB trucking/JB Truck Service, Sturgeon Bay, we did not know anthing about this man. so as we towed our truck to JB .we was wondereing how much this will cost us. we had no idea . he created a Estimate what it would cost i filed a claim with my insurance they excepted the claim and send me the money to pay for the work/ i tolf them to send it to jb trucking they did so he can strared the job. I never knew he was a Ripp off Artist. He did not install a OEM Axele fatory from Doge chrysler he installed a junk yard special and charged us $ 11.330.66 for the whole job wow never thought he would ripp us off so badly. The Installation was done correctly but he installed a **( a DEFECTIVE LEAKING ) JUNKYARD AXEL after marked what a ripp off and I talk with the sherriff they coulnt help us I also brought it to the mayor office he woulnt help us no one in door county would help us How sad we had to get this fixed fast we payed attional $ 730 Jb never reached out to make it right

If you want dealer parts at dealer prices, it's easy enough, just go to a dealership. Independent mechanics usually use aftermarket parts. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as the parts are of decent quality. If you wanted dealer parts, you should have said so, or just taken it to a dealership. In this case, it sounds like you have a warranty issue. How long have you been driving it and how long is the warranty? As far as pricing, anyone is free to charge whatever they want. It's on you to get a written quote and to shop around before doing the job.
