Jon Morrow is probably a pretty well known name if you've done anything with online content marketing. He made Guest Blogger, Smart Blogger and the big product push service is Freedom Machine (ironic name).

Freedom Machine is offered at $199 a month and I think I saw somewhere its going to start being offered for $99 a month the trick here is on the Refund Policy page. 


The invoice may list subscription but for 'Freedom Machine" its a payment plan which they list. "Where products or services are offered on a payment plan, the overall cost is split into a fixed schedule of smaller payments which are collected at regular intervals until all of the payments have been made."

If you don't cancel within 30 days they expect you to continue to make payments when it was NEVER clearly started it's a payment plan. 

Below is a copy of the email sent to me:

"My name is Jenn and I'm the Business Operations Manager here at Smart Blogger. I'm sorry that you feel this was not appropriately communicated. 

Perhaps I can help explain this a bit better if I use the example of a car payment. If you chose to finance a car, you would be responsible for making your monthly payments until the car was paid off. Even if you stop driving the car, you are still responsible for the payments. It is not stealing for the finance company to continue expecting you to make your car payments simply because you've chosen to no longer drive the car. Canceling your course access is like if you choose to stop driving the car. 

Our refund policy has always been 30-days from the initial date of purchase. Within those 30-days, you are welcome to receive a refund and/or cancel a payment plan. While we are in the process of updating and expanding the verbiage regarding the refund/cancellation policy across the site, that doesn't change the fact that our policy has always been to continue payment plans to their completion.

Because you canceled your course outside of the 30-day refund period, your payment plan remains active. Technically your payments should have continued billing from November onwards, but a system glitch caused a delay in the payment charge process in our system. We are happy to reinstate your course access for you since you are still responsible for the payment plan.

Unfortunately, if we are not able to work out a way to complete the charges on your payment plan, we will be forced to send your account over to our collection agency for them to collect on.

I sincerely hope we can work together to complete your payment plan payments. Please get back to me so we can work out a solution together :-).

Do not work with this company! Companies like Morrows have a built in scape goat when the success of people using the information is challenged. "If people followed the plan they would make money."  He uses his medical condition as a marketing tool --means he's both smart and a manipulator.

He's financing the accounts receivables to flip the invoices into immediate cash flow and because of this he's now screwing over his clients to make sure he can afford his lifestyle in Austin, Texas. (Public information he's mentioned living in this city on several webinars). 

So as you can read the "Freedom Machine" may be creating his freedom by screwing over his customers.
