Sales managers signed off on contracts that had incorrect sales tax and DMV information. During Prep for delivary Vehicle was set on fire and then they tried to hide it from me.

When they got caught they got nasty with me. Now who gets the burnt vehicle. These are bad people.

Your Invalid Claim

You evaded the questions twice so apparently the facts don’t support your claim that you were charged the incorrect amount of sales tax. Thanks for clarifying.

Unethical Business Practices

AUTHOR: Roy - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, July 29, 2019

Consumers can see how this dealership operates. It is clear that the person responding to my original post is an employee. It could not be any more simple LaMesa RV while preparing the vehicle that I purchased for delivery set the vehicle on fire. They told me that i had to wait a week for delivery because the vehicle had a small water leak.

I went to the dealer unexpected to find out the vehicle had major damage from a fire. They told me it was a small water leak. They tried to buy time to fix the vehicle and not tell me until they got caught of course. Plus the contract was incorrect the sales tax amount was hundreds less than the amount they supposedly charged me. This is simple either they ripped me off for thousands or they defrauded the State of Florida Department of Revenue.

I received a refund because I could not deal with such a suspect company. On top of all of that they treated me as if I did something wrong and were nasty and defamed me to their employees. This should never happen to anyone please beware of this horrible experience and unscrupulous business behavior. And most of all just look at how they handle customer relations by the rebuttal to my post. They are sad and unethical. Don’t let this happen to you.

3 more Questions

AUTHOR: Roy - (United States)

POSTED: Monday, July 29, 2019

Why would anyone want to know the exact amount unless you are employed by the firm. When you purchase a vehicle you get a sales contract and an installment sales contract. That makes 2 contracts. The 2 contracts I have for the same sale have conflicting information and yes the fee goes to Florida department of revenue, Thank you for that information I will make The Florida Department of Revenue aware of there practices as well.

As far as subtotals it is very easy to multiply 6.5% of a number. The 2 contracts don’t add up. You seemed very concerned about the subtotal number which makes no sense. As a consumer you would think that you be concerned about the vehicle that was set on fire in the service department while they were prepping it for delivery.

As a consumer you would think you would be concerned about the company and the staff trying to cover up the extent of the damage. As a consumer you would think you would be concerned in the way I was treated as a customer. Those are 3 questions that you missed but thank you so much for your concern as a consumer that is.

Three Specific Questions

AUTHOR: coast - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, July 28, 2019

You did not answer the first two questions. I specifically asked you, what was the subtotal and how much sales tax were you charged. Your answer to the third question makes no sense because the battery and tire disposal fees are remitted to the Florida Department of Revenue, not the DMV.

I repeat the questions: What was the subtotal? How much sales tax were you charged?

You stated, “the sale price and the deposit differs from contract to contract.” How many sales contracts do you have for this single purchase?

Unethical Business Practice

AUTHOR: Roy - (United States)

POSTED: Sunday, July 28, 2019

The answer to the three questions is that the sales tax was based on a price thousands less then what I was charged. Either the sales tax is wrong or the price is wrong either way it’s a scam. The dmv waste tire and battery fees charged by the state are different from contract to contract. Lastly the sale price and the deposit differs from contract to contract.

The numbers are just plugged in to make a bottom line price work. Who does business operate like this and when you question the paper work and there practices they tell you not to deal with LaMesa Not to come to the dealership and not to ever call again.

When you call there corporate office You get the exact same run around so the fish stinks from the head. Do your self a favor stay clear of this horrible dealership.
