On April 23rd of 2015, at 11:00 a.m., "Shower Doors of Dallas" (1730 N. Greenville Ave. Richardson, TX 75081 - 214.530.5483) sent their man to meet me at my Southlake residence. I was remodeling a bath, removing a somewhat cramped closet-style corner shower stall, to recover 6" of interior wall space on two sides, by replacing the walls with glass. I remember being delighted to be closing in on the completion of this upgrade finally. However, I made one critical mistake. I trusted without verifying.
The second application of natural stone sealant had just finished drying on the perfect tile installation. The 18-inch, Grade-A, travertine tile covered every inch of every surface, from floor to nine-foot ceiling. The matching corner shower pedestal needed one final touch, a frameless glass shower stall, and door.
The quote was $1,665.00, less a $175.00 discount for their coupon I received in the mail. Final price $1,490.00
I was assured 10-12 business days for fabrication (LATE).
The installation "went without a hitch," so, I was told. And the installer was gone as soon as I could write the check. I let it cure for three-days, as instructed. Then, I turned on the water.
I cannot begin to tell you how disappointing it was to watch as the water immediately began to pool, outside of the shower. Or, how aggravating it was to wait in vain for my call to be returned, for days, weeks, and months. I can tell you how many put-offs and missed appointments I suffered before they finally came out. And, I can tell you that they refused to honor their shoddy work by suggesting that the "contractor that did the installation was no longer with them," also, that "it is impossible to fit MY SHOWER PEDISTAL with frameless shower stall glass, because MY pedestal surface is slightly convex."
They also shared that their contractor should have shared this detail with me when he came out to get the measurements to fabricate the glass stall, instead of picking up a check for 50% of the quote. However, he didn't. Instead, he took my deposit. And, when he came back out to install the glass, he merely attempted to fill in the gaps at the base of the glass with up to an inch of silicon, instead of taking it with him and refunding me for the shoddy fabrication.
So, if you have a custom need, i.e., if your glass needs are not perfectly square, I recommend that you do not risk your money by entrusting the work to these people. Apparently, they have severe integrity issues. They do not know right from wrong. They have no problem with taking your money regardless of whether or not they are capable of completing the work. They will tell you what you want to hear to get your business and evade you should you call them regarding the warranty. Good luck getting them to make it right if they fall short of the agreed objective.

I installed a glass shower and had leakage. Everything is fixable, you have to determine where and how to stop. It was a fairly simple fix(clear seal was binding and i added another clear seal). good luck on this Clay.
