SimpliSafe Nothing they can do to help
I've been going back and forth with SimpliSafe, including trying to reach Chad Laurens, Christian Cerda, and Douglas Woodard.
This begins with false advertising. Their webcam is supposedly plug and play. Based on my first conversation with tech support, you actually need to turn off autoswitching between 2.4ghz and 5ghz (limiting internet performance for other devices) in order to make it work. It took an hour of arguing + tagging executives on social media in order to get it resolved.
I'm seeing multiple inconsistencies between their web-based application and their mobile app, including one saying the base station is online while the other says it can't connect to the internet. I'm seeing doors noted as "open" on one application, and closed on another (the door was closed).
I've wasted close to two hours waiting on hold/trying to work with their customer support and technical support teams. All they can do is ship out a new product and hope for the best.
Your time and frustration's worth more than this, for a product you'll likely need to return anyway.
I expect I'll have to update this/add new complaints before giving up, returning it for a refund, and going with a vendor with more integrity. This is my family's security you greedy, inconsiderate, miserable people.
