*IDENTITY THEFT
Upon finding out that the State of Texas would take up to 2 months to send me a copy of my birth certificate, I found this site that stated for a charge of $155, they would get the certificate and send via FedEx with 2-5 business days. After a week, was advised it was delayed and I needed to fill out a new form nd have it authorized. They required a copy of my driver license to verify my identity.
Ordered Expdedited Service (2-5 days) on Oct 12
1. October 14th: Needed Clarification of Identity
2. October 16th: Replied it was in process from 'Lizet H'
3. October 17th: Document expected to be released in 1 business day.
4. October 18th: Certificate found, but no hospital listed. Delayed as this needed to be added.
5. October 22: "As of this afternoon, document still not released by processing office...may take several days...being sent to search department for correct info...be assured when released it will be expedited....
6. October 22: Received came canned email as listed in #3 above
Contacted Texas Secretary of State and Attorney General to file complain. Contacted bank (USAA) to file dispute and they refunded my $155.
