Filed on July 12,2005. BBB Online complaint form:
The following is in reference to a dispute of charges between me and Stores Online or www.storesonline.com , their real and corporate name being: Imergent, Inc. 5TH FLOOR
754 East Technology Avenuein Orem, Utah. 84097
Phone: +1 801 227-0004 Fax: +1 801 266-8848

I have attempted to receive a refund from Stores Online twice by telephone but have not succeeded. The first call I made was to a long distance number given to me by Jason McDonald and also the only one Stores Online gives out for 'billing': 801-227-0004.

The second number I called was a toll free number on my credit card statement: 888-660-8199. I first requested a refund from the salesman, Jason McDonald, who told me I had to contact the billing department and have participated in an online chat session with a storesonline agent indicating my request for a refund in this chat. I have emailed them requesting this refund on June 30, then again on July 9 after receiving their email reply on July 7th from the email I sent on June 30, 2005 again requesting the refund and cancellation of my account.

On July 6, 2005 I mailed a package including a letter and printouts of all documents pertaining to the charge from Stores Online to the Attorney General's Office,P.O. Box 899, Jefferson City, MO 65102. I sent this Priority Mail, return receipt
requested and have received the signed receipt showing that the Attorney General did receive this paperwork on July 8, 2005.

None of these actions have resulted in a refund.
Each agent for Stores Online says that refunds are not at all possible and that the order form I signed states that I had just 3 (business) days to request a refund. Most businesses have at the minimum a 30 day refund policy. Stores online's 3 day refund policy is unusual and I did not fully understand this at the time I signed this document. This is also a large sum of money ($5,199.00) and one would think that there would be more time to review the entire product package and services that this company is claiming to provide.

The charge from storesonline.com on my Advanta mastercard is in dispute. This charge occurred on May 20, 2005.The dispute began June 23, 2005 and lasts for 30 days.I am not using nor do I intend to use anything in this package I have received from Stores Online.

Stores Online had sent information to me through direct mail offering a"free breakfast, lunch or dinner for two which includes a fun and relaxed 90 minute introduction to making money on the Internet. Plus, receive a FREE Business Organizer".

The toll free number and website in this direct mail letter is:
1-800-441-9440 and www.iNetSeminars.com On May 4, 2005 I attended the introductory meeting at noon/lunchtime located at the Holiday Inn Sports Complex, 4011 Blue Ridge Cut Off, Kansas City, MO 64133. That day I also paid $30.00 using my visa credit card to reserve my spot for the next seminar on May 20, 2005, scheduled to begin at 8:30 am and last until 6:30 pm.

I attended this second seminar at the Hyatt Regency Crown in Kansas City,Missouri. The cost of parking was not included. Parking fees cost me $7.00.The seminar was scheduled until 6:30 pm but I could not stay for another 3 to 4 hours so I left at 3:00 p.m. Prior to leaving I did sign up for the following:
"Complete Store Building Software License & Password Fee..", "Autoresponders", "Links4Trade Platinum Listing Service" and "Ebay".

After I had a chance to review this material--139 pages not including the order form with two dvds in the 'Complete Store Building Kit' and two dvds for the 'Ebay' information--
I decided that it was not what it was advertised to be and that I did not want to pay for these packages of paperwork and dvds for which they are charging $5,199.00.It appears that I, the buyer, am doing all of the work of 'programming' websites, which can be done easier, much cheaper--or even for free-- and possibly better through reputable places like yahoo webhosting or any other hosting or website building site. Most all of the information I read in this package is either freely available on the internet or at a much cheaper rate.

On June 9 and June 23, 2005 I called the Stores Online billing office requesting a refund and offered to return all materials I had purchased. Both operators said that refunds are "not an option with this company" and they both suggested that I "sell these sites on ebay".They said that the regular price for one site through their company is $2,800.00 and that I could sell each one for at least $1,500.00. After researching website
building programs on ebay and elsewhere it appears that others are selling similar services for approximately $9.95.

Interesting that the storesonline.com billing department suggests selling these "sites" and the order form and other paperwork in the store building kit "does not recommend selling the sites nor offers a marketing plan, joint venture or reseller program".

June 23, 2005 I received another telephone call from a Jason McDonald from phone number: 801-437-6823. He had called me several times since the seminar on May 20th. This time when he called he insisted that I needed a "mentor" by the name of "Brady Whitas". (He did spell the name for me.) Jason said that Stores Online could not deal with nor work with what he called "know-it-all" people, this mentoring program was costly but I "needed this to jump start my site(s), to speed up the process of me making money, stop trying to do everything myself as this would take months or years. I told him that neither I nor my site was anywhere near being ready to publish and that he needed to stop pressuring me into placing yet another large sum of money on any of my credit cards to purchase this "mentoring system"which he indicated would cost at least $2,000.00.

He said he was not pressuring me, that I was pressuring myself and that I was 'not listening' to him. He told me he could not understand where I was coming from, what situation I was in nor why I would not buy this mentoring program he was pushing, the cost of which would depend upon the type of mentoring' I chose. This program would involve severaltelephone 'conferences' every week with this mentor person, Brady Whitas,to whom I never spoke. He asked me how many credit cards I had, how much money I owed on all of them and how much my credit limit was. He insisted that I purchase this mentoring deal and put it on one of my credit cards so I could start making money fast. If I didn't buy this mentoring system then it would takes months or even years before I started making any money.

I told him I would not put any more charges on my credit cards and that this charge of $5,199.00 on my credit card for this 'programming package forthe"Complete Store Building Software", "Autoresponders", "Links4Trade Platinum Listing Service" and "Ebay" was already too much money. Information from the speakers at the seminar told us that this package had everything needed to start making money with one or more websites in a short period of time (less than a month). These items I had already bought were supposed to be enough. Why would I need to spend another large sum of money for a mentor?

After talking to Jason on June 23 I called my lawyer's office, Joan Deans, an attorney in Raytown,MO. I called her office twice that day and spoke with both of her assistants,Lorraine and Michelle. Lorraine indicated that Ms Deans would be available after 3:30 pm so I called back after that time. Michelle answered and told me Ms. Deans was unable to come to the phone. I told Michelle, like I had told Lorraine, that I was experiencing difficulty to obtaining a refund from a company where I had attended a seminar and made a rather large purchase. Michelle was not certain that Ms Deans would be able to help me and she recommended a contract dispute attorney by the name of Rhonda Wesley. I called Rhonda Wesley's number and it was disconnected and could not find any current telephone number for her.Michelle also gave me the phone number of the Bar Referral at 816-221-9472.After hanging up the phone with Michelle I faxed letter to Ms Dean's office telling her
what I needed.. Ater I sent the fax I also sent her an email confirming the fax I had sent .

It was June 30, 2005 before I received a reply from my attorney, Joan Deans. She stated that she was only handling social securtiy disablity cases and she referred me to the Bar Association so I could find the appropriate attorney.I did call the Bar Association and received the name of a referred attorney, a Ms Leslie Lawson, who handles contract disputes.
The telephone number that the Bar Association gave me for Leslie Lawson wasincorrect An attorney returned my call from that number and said there was no Leslie Lawson at this number. She gave me this number she had for Leslie. I called that number on Friday, July 1 and left a message with details of this situation for her. I called Leslie Lawson's office and left another detailed message July 12, 2005 since I have not heard back from her.

On June 28, 2005 I discovered a vast amount of information on the internet about this Stores Online, which I found out is really "Imergent, Inc." After doing a search on www.google.com for storesonline, I found many websites revealing shocking information about this fraudulent company. I wish I had found this prior to getting involved with them.
They are listed hundreds of times in RipOff Report.com, their stock security violations are on any stock information website, there are lawsuits in various states in the United States as well as in other countries against Stores Online (Imergent, Inc.).

Along with my request to receive my money back from Stores Online I would like to see that this company will not be allowed to continue to solicit their "programming packages" all across the United States (and other countries) which they do through direct mail to the homes and also through their telemarketing tactics, their name often showing on the caller ID as 'PROF MRKTG" phone number: 801-437-6823, or as 'PMI Marketing' , or an "unknown name"phone number:801-373-2413.

I sincerely appreciate any efforts made to cease the operations of this Imergent Inc/Stores online and refund the money due to me and countless other victims of this company. The following websites include information about Storesonline.com/ Imergent, Inc.

State of Texas Lawsuit

State of Utah Violation of Federal Securities law
