After deciding to finally start trading stocks I come across Tim Sykes in a YouTube ad and he claims to be a top authority in penny stocks. I watch the 2min ad all the way through and liked what I heard but that was just to get me in the door so I can be offered a super discounted training program for $7 down from ~$500, does not sound bad right? Tim claims he is being such a nice guy by giving you this discount and by doing so hopes to prove he is the real deal so I bite and go to purchase the $7 video training program.

Now having me on the page thinking I will spend $7 I see and this is even before he upsells the more expensive programs, after reading a bit of fluff about his "Penny Stock Treasure Map", Tim upsell me on his "Trader Checklist thumb drive" which is what he claims his students call the "Penny Stock Treasure Map". Apparently the "Trader Checklist" will help me know exactly what stocks to buy and Tim prices it with "Now, if you've seen any of the major trading programs in our industry, then you know that the 'go to' price point is $3000... That's kind of the 'industry standard' for a big, in-depth trading program like this(it's 11 hours of video training)..." Buuut Tim is such a nice guy that he offers a discount of 97% for this "Trader Checklist" droping the price for the thumb drive to $77. On top of these red flags he pushes the idea that he only has 300 thumb drives and will never make more... Even claiming that I should buy the thumb drive before I finish reading the page cause they could be gone by the time I am done reading and Tim clearly states no refunds for the drive, also he gives you a link instead of a thumb drive if you are out of the U.S.A.

Further down the page I am upsold with two other programs, one for $21 down from $1000 and the other is $29 down from $2000. Now the $7 program is only a video training course while the $21 program comes with the video training and his "Supernova cheatsheet". The $29 program, which is the one I purchased, comes with all the items mentioned above and a "V.I.P $215,000 day Case Study" which claims to "reveals how one on my top pennystockers made $215,000 in one day trading penny stocks". Yes there are typos on this purchase page.

I had a bad feeling because I had yet to do research on Tim and from seeing the upselling but ignored my gut feeling and told myself "You have to spend money to make money." After ignoring the thumb drive and purchasing the $29 program the webpage stayed the same except for the section where you pick a program to buy because it had minimzed into a small box on the page. During this whole process I am on my iphone with the VPN off and no other ad blockers or anything like that. After my purchase I am still on the same webpage where I bought the $29 program but there are no new links and I was never redirected after the purchase went through so I never recieved anything.

To top things off Tim hides a disclaimer at the very bottom of the page under a good amount of "comments from real people" pretty much covering his a*s. I will quote the first five sentances from what seems like Tim's legal shield.

"This manual is for informational and entertainment purposes only. I most likely won't get my $29 back but at least I can warn people here.
