Utah Flooring and Design Will not refund my money-733.70. Rescheduled three appointments / no contact / they ordered the wrong parts? Utah

I am a Veteran of the USAF and served faithfully for 23+ years. I'm also 50% disabled. I work on Hill AFB and continue to serve in another capacity to help the war-fighter. 

I need your assistance with a personal issue dealing with a business there in Salt Lake City. They are Utah Flooring and Design. I hired them to install stairs in my home, paid the required 50% which was $750.00 dollars, and waited for the installation date. When the day did arrive, on the 8th of May, the installers came but were missing a part. So we ended up having to re-schedule.

The next appt. was on or around the the 14th of May. Nobody showed up at all and I tried to call Utah Flooring but nobody would return my phone calls. When they finally did call back, they apologized and said they'd make it up to us and scheduled again for the following Tuesday, about the 18th of May. Again they were a no show and nobody called at all. So I called and talked to Amy and said I wanted to cancel this order all together. All I asked for was a refund and for these guys to come by and pick up their materials. I mean, I'd think if you were in the same situation you would probably do the same correct? In the meantime, we've installed carpet.

I've written the Better Business Bureau because Utah Flooring has stated I cannot get a refund. No particular reason just that somehow I was in the wrong. I took off all three days by the way and and would have had to take a fourth leave because Utah Flooring wanted to schedule another date to take leave so that was basically another $1300.00 dollars. So the BBB is communicating everything between us and I have asked for a manager's number or something but they won't give me that information. 

In synopsis, I'm a Veteran and 50% disabled. My wife and I decided to get this work done because we have always supported Utah business, especially now with COVID. I feel like I'm being slapped in the face by Utah Flooring and I do not understand why. I have done absolutely nothing wrong and I feel like I was completely justified in terminating service. 

I know this probably sounds petty and I really hate to waste your time. I voted for you because I know you'll be a great Governor and you're the most realistic, honest candidate out there. You're up-standing and I feel as if you genuinely care about everyone in this great state.
