Veritext Court Reporters aka Veritext Legal Solutions Rosemary Lopez Canceled contract at last minute for their own convenience van nuys california

Hired Veritext to provide a court reporter for a court hearing approximately 8 days prior to the hearing.  I expressed to them my concern on how important that they have a court reporter there and not to cancel at the last minute as court reporters take time to arrange.  This was an admitted fact as it took Veritext 4 days to get back to me to confirm they could provide a court reporter (I actually contacted them almost 2 weeks before the hearing).

The hearing was on Tues. at 8:30 am.  On the preceding Friday, at 2:20 pm, I recieved an email from Veritext stating that their court reporter was unavailable on Tues. and they were canceling.  I read the email at 3:10 pm on Friday, and subsequently contacted Veritext somewhat pissed off that they were canceling at the last minute without making any effort to cover the hearing date with another agency (to cover their screw up).

I was transferred to a Rosemary Lopez, who told me in no uncertain term and in a somewhat snotty attitude that they were canceling and that they would make no efforts to cover the hearing date with another company.  She also falsely represented that she was giving me a "whole day and a half" to cover it myself, and they stated she was "giving my money back and that was it". 

First, sending me an email, instead of a phone call, at 2:20 pm on a Friday, for a Tues. hearing, is not a day and a half. Second, if it took Veritext 4 days to confirm with me, on what basis did they think I was going to be able to do it in one.

Bottom line, Veritext is unreliable and has horrible customer service.  In a field where court reporter appearance is vital, Ms. Lopez didn't "give a sh*t", stated she would make no efforts to help cover their error and that was it.  For anyone needing reliability in legal service or court reporter, DO NOT USE VERITEXT UNLESS YOUR READY FOR THEM TO CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE AND CAUSE YOU TO INCURR ADDITIONAL COSTS.
