What is the point of this "school"?  THERE IS NONE!  Don't waste your money.  Your personal enrichment classes count for nothing, even if you're told they will.  I attempted to reinstate my expired teaching certificate.

I called UCF continuing education office to see what options I had through UCF only to be told that their continuing education classes do not qualify for reinstement, but if I took the class through VESI and selected UCF as my college, the state would accept the college credit and I could even turn it into full college credit if I were to advanced my degree further.

Sounded great!  I paid, took the class and was a little shocked how lame it was and easy to complete.  Seven college credits completed in less than 24 hours??!?!?!  At this point I should have realized it was too good to be true.  The content of the class was pretty lame.

It was disappointing that this qualified.  Well, after submitting my documents to the state of Florida DOE I find out they don't count.  (which is probably good because their classes are WORTHLESS - I'm glad the state has higher standards than this).  I called the UCF continuing education office to see if the classes could be converted into college credit and the girl I spoke to said NOPE!

They had a disclaimer on their registration to make sure you check with your state to verify the classes will count.  She said she knew for a fact the state of Florida would not accept them and they were for enrichment only.  More like "derichment".

I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD COUNT BY WHOM EVER ANSWERED THE PHONE AT UCF and was specifically told to select UCF as my university since I was reinstating a Florida teaching license and was assured there would be no problem whatsoever.  I've learned my lesson do not believe anything this "school" tells you.  Their classes are worthless garbage even if you're only wanting to be "enriched".

As stated in this complaint VESi’s website and registrar state to all potential registrants that he/she check with his/her respected state licensing agency to insure courses may be applied to whatever license or certificate the person is attempting to renew. VESi has no control over what an individual outside the company tells a potential registrant.

All regional accreditation bodies, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and Council for Accreditation of Education Professionals (CAEP) and SACS have reviewed these as graduate academic courses. The courses have been though over 40 CAEP accreditation reviews and have never had a single issue during any review. CAEP committee chairs in Kentucky and Utah called them excellent examples of graduate level distance learning courses for teacher education.

The statement about seven credits being earned for one course is incorrect. Courses are approved and listed for two and three semester credits or the equivalent in professional units and must meet federally approved hours and assignments standards to be approved.

University of Central Florida does not offer the courses for academic credit and will not apply them toward any degree. The courses are approved and listed for non-credit continuing education units and again, participants are told to check with their respected state licensing agency to insure courses may be applied to whatever license or certificate the person is attempting to renew.

If this person had called and spoken with the VESi registrar she could have avoided all of the issues she stated and would have been directed to take the courses for graduate academic credit at an alternative university where the credits earned could have been applied to license renewal in Florida. Or, she could have contacted the state prior to taking the courses as the website suggests then would not have had the issue at all. This person did not follow the recommendations on the site and appears to want to blame others for her issues.
