Whimstay.com does not offer cancellation or refund on any of their bookings if checkin is within 60 days. They do not display that prominently anywhere on their website. In the app, you cannot see it at all. So when you book a stay, they do not tell you upfront that there are No refunds. You are expected to read that in the terms.
For comparison, Airbnb, Home2go, Vrbo, Hilton, and many others make sure to inform you of the refund policy before purchase.
I'm thinking this may even be illegal. I think the relevant laws are California Civil Code section 1723 and Utah Admin. Code 152-11-10. There are several other states that implement similar laws, but I live in Utah and Whimstay operates in California.
