Bookit Beware before Booking with Bookit.com!! Ripoff Panama City Beach Florida

I stumbled upon the Bookit.com web site and gave them a call to verify some prices for some really (what appeared to be on the web site) nice hotels in Cozumel Mexico. After a few minutes of conversation I booked a stay with them at the Park Royal Cozumel. Bookit claimed, on phone and online, that it was a 5 star property, clean, everything included, and no spring breakers (not that I have anything against spring breakers, but I was wanting some quiet "alone" time with the hubby). When we got there we were SHOCKED. There were spring breakers everywhere, drunk and hanging off balconies. The property allbeit relatively clean, was clearly for the young.

We tried to suck it up and enjoy, but at 4am after hours of calling the front desk and reporting that the kids were drunk running around our hallways and screaming, vomiting, and drinking, nothing was done to alleviate the noise. We checked out the next morning and went to another hotel. A bookit representative was on site and PROMISED as soon as we got back to the US, we could call, and they would have our written report (which we submitted to the hotel) and our complaints, and we would be issued a refund immediately. Well that never happened. And Bookit, when they answer your call, would say "they had no report so there would be no refund"...I took it up with American Express (that GOD I used that card) who quickly took it off my bill, asked for another written statement from me, and within 2 weeks, determined I was due a FULL REFUND from Bookit.com.

My stepdaughter, who was also travelling with us and had another room for herself, used her Visa card, and was not as lucky as we were to get the refund, so she was stuck paying the $$ for the room we didn't even use. SHAME ON BOOKIT, for misleading us to think we were going to a 5 star property, and shame on the hotel for not doing ANYTHING for the loud obnoxious drunk guests who were in the hotel at all hours of the night. Buyer Beware with BOOKIT.com They want your $$ up front for good reason, because you will probably want it back at the end of the trip.
