1Rate.com ripoff debits your account without permission Rocky River Ohio

Received a letter that said "Welcome to 1Rate.com. which is a long distance service. Since I already have a long distance service I did not do anything about it.

Then I called my bank, found out that my account was debited for $39.95 for a monthly charge and $19.95 for a setup fee. None of these were authorized nor was my bank account numbers ever given to them.

I stopped payment at the bank, called 1Rate.com and told them that I didn't want there service. Then I called the Better Business Bureau of Ohio and put in a compliant.

Something needs to be done about this. They can not keep on going around doing this to people. People need to fight back.
