1st Nashville Realty Slumlords, cheaters, lazy, liars, uncaring, dishonorable Nashville Tennessee

I have one about 1st Nashville Reality. These people are slumlords and do not care about there properties or the people that live there. They first month I was there and there was no heat and it was still very, very cold outside. I had called almost everyday for someone to come and do something about it. They would always say someone would come by, but I would come home after work and I would still have no heat. The day it snowed I went up there and threaten to call the police and they at least bothered to bring space heaters that didn't do much. It took them 6 weeks from they date I moved in for them to fix it. Keep in mind that I signed a lease a month earlier and they said they would fix it before I moved in.

The next issue came when it was time for me to put in a window AC. I then discovered that the windows where painted shut. There was one window that would open, but when I tried to open it for the AC the pane fell out of the window. I called and complained about it for almost a month because that is a huge security threat. I again spoke with a bunch of different people but no one did anything about it, so I had to get a lawyer involved. They still did nothing in a timely manner. After about a month I went back there and this time I actually called the police. When the police where on there way the finally decided to have someone come and fix it. Not only did I want the window fixed, but I wanted them all to open. I live in a very small place with no ventilation so it was important. There is one window in the kitchen, and when I would cook I would have to keep the door open because the windows did not open. when the repair man came, he told me they were not painted shut but they were glued sh*t because the wood had rotted away and could not support the windows. I also informed my lawyer of this.

The entire time I have been there I have also complained about rats being in the walls and ceiling. They come down into my apartment looking for food. I have to clean up droppings almost everyday. They have sent an exterminator when my lawyer sent them the letter I have attached to this e-mail. When he came he left these silly white boxes that where supposed to catch them, that is obviously not working. I have been reading that it only takes about 4 weeks for rate to have a new round of babies, and as I said this had been going on since March. This past Sunday my dog caught one. This time when I called and complained about it they have started to make claims that I owe them all this money for back rent. I agree that I do owe them something, but but not nearly as much as they claim I do. I called there and spoke with someone named April and she said they were taking part of my current rent and applying it to back rent. I believe they had done that without my knowledge in order to access late fees. Now they are saying I still owe them that same money. I pay them with direct bill pay so I know when it was sent and when they received it. They are are also posting the payments late in order to access late fees. I do not believe that I should owe them anything for all this nonsense I have had to deal with. If this is the kind of thing you can do a story one please let me know. My living conditions are terrible and I have pictures as well as other documentation. Although this e-mail is long this is just a small part of my battle with them.
