21 Villas / 21 Enterprises / Jeffrey Chase Jeffrey Chase Stole $6,000, Canceled Our Rental And Hasn't Refunded After Months Las Vegas Nevada

We (my husband and I) booked a house for Coachella through Jeff (or Jeffrey) Chase at 21 Villas aka 21 Enterprises for $6K. We paid one installment of $3K to a Vegas address (which we believe is a forwarding address company) and then another $3K to a Redlands, CA address. It was cashed at a U.S. Bank in California, so we believe he is working out of Redlands, CA.

A RipOffReport.com posting showed someone had issues with him, so we were concerned. Lo and behold, he cancelled our reservation the day before we were to arrive and has not refunded our money.

While he refuses to answer his phone, he emails me and says the money is on the way. Two months later and it has not come- he sent a fake tracking number through email claiming he had sent the check, but did not. A week later we received a typed letter saying that we needed to withdraw our complaint to the Better Business Bureau if we wanted to see the money. We have filed a police report, complained to the Better Business Bureau, and are now in touch with a CA law firm to recoup the loss.
