Hello, there. I am 16 years old and was a babysitter for Tia. I want to start off by saying I never thought there was anyone that could be as sick as her. Here is my story:

I met Tia on craigslist. She was looking for a babysitter and I was looking for children to watch to earn some extra money. I called her and we set up a time to meet.

After we met we started exchanging emails about the schedule for the kids to eat sleep bathe playtime etc. We also spoke about the pay. I suggested no lower that $6 an hour. She happily suggested that she could afford $8 and hour. I was more than happy with that since i was saving up for a car.

She lived down the street for me so it was convinent for the both of us. We agreed to $8 an hr., I have several emails as well as text messages and witnesses to prove that was the agreement. Tia herself has even acknowledged that $8 an hour was the agreement.

I worked for her for about a month. The first week I worked a total of 34 hours. Making the pay for the first week $272. Once she realized that she could not afford that she suggested that we keep the pay $8 an hour but I would just work less hours. (4pm-7pm) this made the weekly pay $125 a week. Which was more than okay with me, but the first week was going to be $272 since that was the agreement.

And after the first week we would start with $125 a week.That first week we went to the movies as well as out to eat with each other and the kids. She cannot complain about that because she said that whether she was working or not does not matter my responsibilites were the kids while I was there. Because at times I would babysit and she would be watching tv not working.

I also paid for my food as well as everything else we did together so she cannot claim that she paid for our outings. I came in early the first week because she said she needed the help and if I could please come over and watch the kids. I did my part I bathed fed and played with those kids. I also made sure they were always SAFE. So she needs to do her part now and pay me.

The friday of the first week came and she wrote me a check for $272. I took the kids to the park and she called me saying that she left her ATM card at the bank and someone stole $600 from her account and that if i could not process the check until monday, I agreed. Then Monday came and she said to return the check to her and she would pay me in cash. Stupid me said okay and gave her the check back. She never paid me the $272. I even cleaned her house from time to time which was NOT part of the deal.

Weeks passed and she started paying me late on every week and I guess she thought I would forget about the first week(the 272 she owed me). I never did I always rememebered and reminded her about it. She always came up with an excuse. That she didnt have the money, was out of town, was waiting for Parker to pay her (someone who owed her thousands of dollars). Her next excuse was that her Dad passed away and she could not afford it.

I was fed up with the excuses. I stopped working because she was not paying me.
My mom finally got to her limit and stood up for me since I am a MINOR. She called Tia and said that it would be nice if she could at least make a payment schedule with me and pay me little by little. Tia agreed and sent me a message the next day saying that she would pay me little by little after May 30. I agreed and May 30th rolled along and she didn't pay me a cent. Finally about June 3 I contacted her asking for my money. She said by the end of June for sure. I said ok once again and she still has not paid me. Now she is ignoring my calls and emails. This is ridiculous. It is July 8th 2008.

I went back on May 5 to watch the kids for one night. I found out they had went riding quads and on vacations...yet she could not pay me??? She paid me everything late, but still has not paid me for the first week. It upsets me so much because like come on thats your kids. You're babysitter should be the first person you pay. If your kids mean as much to you as you say, you would thank and praise the person who watched, took care, and made sure they were fed and safe. It disgusts me that someone would ever do such a thing.

On several occasions while I was babysitting the previous babysitter would stop by asking for Tia to pay her the $600 she owes her. It made me think but I figured the other lady was crazy, when in reality this is what Tia does. She uses people for their services and does not pay them.

I trusted Tia to the fullest and she did this to me. I have had a horrible experience with babysitting and it is sad because not all people are like this but from this I am scared to go out and babysit and might not get paid for it. I'd rather just not do it.
We were friends. But she lost this trust.

I found out not only has she does this to me and the previous babysitter but to her employees and customers. Google her Tia Luxford - Tia Grimm -Laticia Luxford by her many names and all that will come up is bad reports, and reviews of her work and pay since 2006.

I am now going to file her with Pima County Court and get my money.

I posted, previously, about things that I witnessed from an outside point of view.

After some time, and plenty of thought, I would like to add that a person who chooses to work from home, as in this case, is only human and mistakes being made is truly inevitable.

In many situations, the person who is running the company has (at least) a spouse and/or is raising children. This amounts to marital stresses, schedules, interruptions, errands, etc. Most importantly, oversights happen and problems arise.

In the future, I feel that written agreements and two-way verbal communication would help avoid such bitter, unhappy and/or unfair situations such as ones stated previous.

I started working for Tia in the Phoenix area in March of 2006. Everthing was going along fine. I was paid 3 times up until May of 2006. As it stands now I have not been paid for work I did in May, June and July for the amount of $776 dollars. The first responds I got from Tia was that she was having trouble with her mail getting sent back to sender. The second response was she was out of town till the in of August. As of today at 8/31/06 she claims that because of some guy she hired sold all of the return parts Smartech has froze her account.

The problem with that is that she was paid already for the work I did in May, June and July. It has nothing to do with any one else. If it were true all she would have to do is not pay that employee, to pay for the parts not returned. She has been giving me the run around for 4 months now. I was floored when I found this website and saw the comments on it.

I have contacted her letting her know that I will be filing a claim in the Pima County Court against her. So if anyone would like to file with me feel free to do so.

I am the thread author and yes I did get paid and yes Tia did start a childish game getting others to come on here and attack and someone took up the fight for me being as upset as he was over his issues.

Tia broke her deal with the attacks here after paying me and tried to get her money back but paypal would not let her.

I am very sorry to hear what she did to the tech spoke of. I never disliked "Bob" lol. He was a great guy but it was Tia's actions and her flat out bad choices that made this such a pain and why I made this page.

Integrity is what matters to me and here it seems Money and HERSELF is what matters to Tia.

I am sorry to hear you got burned Bob, if you want any extra jobs I have more then I can handle at this point and will shoot some your way to help you out. I have no hard feelings towards you (After this page I do not know where you stand but my offer remains to help someone out. Maybe Tia will learn from it).

Tia, since you freed me from the terms of our contract with the things posted here and the attempt to get your money back through paypal. I am going to answer questions here if asked and if this continues from now on I will not just watch.

I will tell them everything I can.

Think of someone other then yourself, the above poster did a great job summing up how you act. I could not have put it better.

I am the roommate of an ex-employee of Tia Grimm-Luxford's. I have had times where Tia and I have gotten along, could even have been called "friends" for a moment, but only for a moment. For the rest of the time, we either didn't speak (or rather, she wouldn't talk to me) or we were anything but friends.

Personal feelings aside, Tia has had trouble hanging on to employees. I know that for some time while my roommate was employed by her, she had a high turnover rate. This, however, was not her fault. The positions for Nexicore were not the best positions to be in - often, an employee would be driving all over town just for two or three jobs.

Tia does whatever she feels is right. She has been known to use people for their help and then want nothing more to do with them. This is unfortunate for those who are honestly just trying to be a friend, employee, or just simply help her out.

Tia befriended my roommate, the more she liked him the better off he was - he was made lead technician after all once they became such good friends. She would call him all hours of the day and night, she would interrupt meals, conversations, and time with his friends for whatever she felt was important at the time.
She would have my roommate doing everything for her.

Nearing the end of the friendship, my roommate and I were having financial difficulties do to me having a serious problem with finding a decent job (In the meantime I was selling on Ebay). I had a few people complain on Paypal about not receiving items/receiving them differently than they were described online - Paypal froze my account until the matters could be settled and because we had had a few transfers in the few months prior to this matter with Tia, they froze the $300 that had been placed in her Paypal. The matter was resolved and her account went back to normal (Paypal placed the $300 back into her Paypal from our account).

There was some confusion, however, as she felt she was still out the money, she took my roommate's paycheck and kept all of it - as a matter of "repayment". When I pointed this issue out to my roommate (with the mention that she couldn't have taken $150 from 2 checks, instead of leaving us with no money?) he talked to her and she stated point blank that she was in the right and that was that. After another month of doing more jobs for her, she suddenly stopped contact after my roommate spoke to her on several occasions over the course of about two weeks - he was asking about his paycheck. To this day, she's not paid him for the jobs he did, nor has she spoke with him or me.

My roommate was the employee whose name was changed so he could continue to work for her - he was a d**n good employee, that's why.

Of all the complaints about Tia here, did any of you actually have her come out and fix your computer? What I hear are complaints against Nexicore, the extended warranty company that handles the warranty you bought from Best Buy, Circuit City, or where ever.

The point you are missing is that the warranty company that guarantees your computer makes all the decisions as to how it gets fixed. Let me guess, you bought an e-machine or some similar computer and something failed on it. You call the 800 number and they diagnose it over the phone then send somebody out a couple of weeks later once the part arrives just to do the installation.

That is how computer warranties work. For you to bad mouth 24 Hour Computer Doc for the quality of the computer you bought or the administration of your warranty is a little off base.

The truth is that the warranty company dictates what type of service you recieve and has to approve any parts replacements. They do not cover software problems and additionally they will not pay the technician to back up any of your data while making repairs.

If the technician gave you the runaround it was most likely because your warranty company makes the entire transaction complicated. The fact that you had two or three motherboards replaced probably means you bought an E-machine which is really a hunk of junk.

I just wonder why it is that you don't call the business owner when you have a problem with one of its employees? The owner cannot fix the problem you never mention.

Now I am not pointing any fingers here, I am not attacking any one of you. I merely ask you to reconsider your approach. You may have an axe to grind but that deserves to be laid where it belongs, with the warranty company, or even the salesman who sold you the heap in the first place.

This is like punching the doctor for letting you know you have cancer, everyone understands the feeling but the feeling is misdirected to the wrong person.

Before the next one of you is convinced by CJ to write another assault, ask yourself if you want to be his unwitting tool in a personal attack on a person that does not deserve it.

I am not interested in much of whats going on here but I was told about this site after responding to a listing on Craigs List Phoenix.

I dealt with 24 Hour Computer Doctors and a Bob McGinny I believe his name was on more then one occasion. They have done nothing but give me the run around with parts and service. I can say I am completely dissatisfied with the service of Best Buy and this company they use to service house calls.

I don't care about all the childish name calling in here. I think its worthless as it just continues. The author has gotten paid from what I read so obviously he got what he set out for and this black mark on the record for the company is something they are embarrassed by and trying to cover up.

I am still dealing with Best Buy and you can be sure they will have a negative report from me as well. There warranty service is horrible when the techs have no clue what they are doing and after 3 visits can fix the problem. My mechanics never have a problem with fixing my car 3 times, they know what they are doing. 24 Hour Computer Doctors had no idea what they were doing. (Best Buy told me they would never service there customers again so thats says it all for me.)

I will never let another Tech from this company in my house or even talk to them. They are worthless and I have had enough of the waiting around, excuses and run around. I bought a new computer from another company and I will continue to take my business else where seeing how these local call out company's don't seem to have a clue what they are doing.

I do not know the person above but after reading everything I can see why I had such problems. For those that had good ones, feel fortunate. I wish I could say the same.

Over 5 times now have I had a tech that was credited towards 24 Hour Computers and each time (Over a 5 month period) I still do not have a working computer. My Motherboard has been replaced 3 times, my hard drive so all my data is lost, my drives, my power supply, so many other parts and still I do not have a working computer.

I was told I would no longer get a tech from 24 Hour Computers as they are not with the responding company. They also do not know why so many things were replaced but now it seems with this company gone I am finally getting action. I am told I will be getting a new desktop so after 5 months of dealing with such a horrible company.

I will say the Techs were ok, one was really nice. He was out more then once. One was impatient and rude. The others do not stick out. But the service has left me on my laptop with all my data lost among my time and other things. I have had nothing but nightmares and now I see that I am not the only one. (Esp after the emails from CJ who helped point me to this website.)

On the comments of spelling or lies, I have seen nothing hard to understand so who cares. I also do not see anything supporting the story's told in defense of the company or any effort to provide proof.

Obviously since the author has been indicated to have been paid finally, the wrongful party is clear. (They finally paid what they owed the author in an effort to look better, then bad mouth him after getting him to agree to not post once paid.) I see nothing but very questionable practices and no integrity. I think its very sad for anyone, esp an employee to act that way.

I see nothing but immaturity and childish actions. Esp. now that you have your employees posting on your behalf because of the actions you have taken.

Its funny that after Laticia pays the person above she has so much to have others say for her.

I have seen nothing but lies from Laticia but since theres questions on this and so called "Whining" Lets get it to the point.

1) Not getting paid per Arizona State Law, is ILLEGAL!!! Sorry but deal with it.

Laticia has provided no proof of her claim nor offered to, the poster did and obviously by being paid had the proof and got the point across to her. He did not come here for a pity me, he came here to stop her from doing this to others with proof of this not being her first time.

I've utilized the services of 24 Hour Computer Doc. twice since I was referred to them by a friend who later became an employee. The service was prompt, professional and reasonably priced, and should I have any computer issues, I will definitely be a returning customer.

While I know precious little about Tia's management practices, it stands to reason that if she was running a horrible business and treating employees poorly, she wouldn't have any. Computer service companies are a dime a dozen in Tucson, so logically, competition would've dealt with 24 Hour Computer Doc. some time ago. However, the grievances Elliot mention are private and should be settled likewise. It's poor form to act so immature in a public forum which I'm sure is a sign of the validity of Elliot's claims.

It should be obvious to all parties involved in this dispute that ranting on a website isn't going to solve anything. So if there are real issues you need solve them in court we don't really need a play by play update of every conversation you've had. Furthermore, I gather that ripoffreport.com is aimed at consumers, and as an actual consumer I echo the commentary of Michael, as posted above, and recommend any further Rebuttals' to return to the topic of 24 Hour Computer Doc.'s service.

First to the post above, what facts have you stated?

In all the posts I see nothing but a single claim by Laticia Grimm and nothing more.

However The person making this report has proof and has always been willing to provide it, says he tried to post it and they said he could not post emails so again I ask what the hell are you talking about?

Now here some further facts for you, I have dealt with Laticia B. Grimm. She is a drug user. Check public records she has an arrest she plead guilt to for possession of Drug Items.

I also have spoke with the above author and he has been paid in full because of this site. He sent in a letter stating that and thanking them for the help. I wish he would continue the effort but part of his agreement was not to so others have taken up the challenge in his place.

But if an employee with so many facts can start this wheel then those of us burned by Mrs. Grimm can get out concerns heard. And the facts will still set you free.

I am going to ask the author for his emails and make another website to link here for everyone to see along with the police report for her drug possesion.

I challenge you Michael to do the same, but in the end I think all the facts will show, as they have so far. That Laticia is not what your claiming, a lier, a thief, a drug user and most importantly a conartist.

Over the past few years I have had several dealings with Ms. Grimm and her company 24 Hour Computer Doc. All have been exceptional. My problems get resolved by her and her staff, her prices are reasonable and the quality of work ethic and follow through are an example many companies would do well to follow.

In talking to her employees they always seem to mention how well they are treated as individuals and are allowed to use their talents in a very satisfying line of work. I expect that in a company of its size there will occasionally be the disgruntled person who just did not fit in or who was just not capable of the quality of work expected in such an organization.

It sounds as if that is what we have here from the person who originated this complaint. I hear a tremendous amount of noise and whining but little or no substance. It sounds to me like you were a contractor who did not fulfill his contracts and therefore are entitled to nothing except a black mark on your record in the industry.

Though your misspellings and attrocious grammar are amusing for a moment, it is probably time to let it go. You have made yourself the fool with your ranting and raving about the injustice of it all. You have slandered a very good person and for that Karma will eventually have its way with you. Remember that next time your car breaks down or you stub your toe. For the last day or so I have been talking to Tia's Father-in-Law as I was told... I did not do a IP trace to see if its true.. I get the feeling it could be Tia some times.

Anyway I tried posting the emails and it seems I can not so I will try once more with just the posts of the contents and not all the headers etc, however I have created a Zip to show all the information and prove they are authentic. They are all webmail pictures as that really helps prove editing to be not possible. This Zip is available to anyone that needs it, just let me know.

Now back to Tia's Father-in-Law and our conversations. If it is someone else I was polite and they seemed to be, they never once touched on any of the issues I aked about esp the lies about Drugs, etc. But I did get new Accusations thrown at me, now supposedly I have stalked Tia's Husband o.O interesting.

The offer to settle was for 150.00 if I would stop. They have gotten a lawyer to call me now but he has only been able to play phone tag, I leave him messages he does the same for me. His last message was that Tia wanted to settle. But as far as her Father-in-Law states its for 150.00? I am sorry but I had at the very least 350.00 in work and thats only saying an hour per job, I did 2 hours or more at most jobs. Its 20-30 an hour depending on distance, etc. The networking job alone admited by Tia is a 150.00 job and thats all she wants to pay me? I am sorry but everyone really needs to be warned here.

I was asked what I wanted and I said I would take 250.00 if I also got an appology for the Drug notice and that I would post saying everything was handled and the issue was dealt with. Things seem to be good to go but that was not something they were willing to take... I guess its just to much *shrug*

I paid her for all the jobs she did in which the parts were returned, but to my surprise, she had kept over $10,000 in parts and demanded $550 from me. However, I knew he had parts for the company that had not been sent back yet. So, though I said no, I tried to play it cool until that weekend so I could get my parts back. He never showed. He sent an email about how the money wasn't good enough and he couldn't afford the gas. I called him to get the parts back. Nothing. He had signed a contract stating if parts are not returned within 48 hours of the job closing he would not get paid. I tried to reach him for 2 months! Nothing. I ended up having to pay over $600 for the missing parts as well as losing my contract! Finally I went to his trailer; he was not there, but his wife answered and was very upset I was there. I left and that night Elliott called me and said I was harassing his wife! Again, I kept my cool and he agreed to meet with me and I got my parts back that night. Now, he wants to be paid for the jobs he did, when there is no way I can do that. So he is blackmailing me by posting all over the internet. I have the conversations we had saved and can show them to anyone who needs to see the proof themselves. I have since checked his background. All but one of the companies listed on his resume are made up. He says he is a small business owner, but that is false too. This is going to court now; I just don't have time for these antics.

My company is doing really well now and luckily I have some great techs working for me. I signed a few new contracts and now I make sure to do a complete background checks on ALL my employees as well as drug testing.

I am still trying with the Labor Board, its not easy to just make a report but I am working on it. I did do a report to the Better Business Bureau to.

Its odd that people feel they should not have to pay employee's... Before I even agree'd to work for Tia she called me with problems needing a computer job covered. I did it for her before we signed any contacts but I guess that makes me a bad guy in her book for asking for payment... *Shrug*

Maybe someone will see this and avoid her.
